    Lightbulb Default UI Font changer?

    Hey guys,

I am looking for a addon or something that willl let me change the default UI font, as-in the font that the UI uses in the character window and such, I am tired of looking at the same icky sometimes unreadable font.

    Thanks in advance

Clearfont2 is a nice addon to use.

    Isn't Clearfont2 heavily outdated?

basicly, make a new folder called Fonts in Wow dir, place your font and rename it to either; ARIALN, FRIZQT__, Morpheus or skurri.

Make a "Fonts" folder where your WoW is located, then rename the font you would like to use to ARIALN, FRIZQT_, SKURRI (combat text if I remember correctly)

Probably the best way to do this. In the addons folder take whatever font you want to use (has to be in true font format *.tff) Make 4 of them called,

    ARIALN.tff, FRIZQT_.tff, MORPHEUS.tff, SKURRI.tff

Basically the game thinks they are called those 4 names so if you find some font you want to use, in .tff format, if you rename it as such and place it in the fonts folder than it should work. (obviously make a backup of the fonts folder because you don't want to be stuck without text)

Where should the Fonts folder be created? Inside the WoW folder or inside Interface or inside Addons?

Also, did you mean .tff or .ttf?

    .ttf

And it goes in the main WoW folder (on my comp, it's f:\Games\WoW\Fonts)

Also, you were given some wrong information - your skurri replacement wouldn't work if you followed it.

Inside the WoW\Fonts folder, you can place up to 5 fonts (or the same font 5 times). The fonts must EXACTLY match the following names - capitalization and spelling matter, as do the two _'s at the end of FRIZQT:
    Code:
    ARIALN.ttf
    FRIENDS.ttf
    FRIZQT__.ttf
    MORPHEUS.ttf
    skurri.ttf
This is what each font does:
Arial N - used for chat windows, actionbars, etc
    Friends - Battle.Net Friend Windows
Fritz QT - player names, most UI text
Morpheus - quest title headers, mail, readable in-game objects
Skurri - incoming combat text on the Unit Frames

Fonter is my addon of choice. ClearFont2 is way outdated, ClearFont3 I think either didn't work, was dead, or something. I've tried all the font addons and Fonter has an actual easy-to-use and customizable UI that lets you pick different fonts for everything, instead of one for an entire subsection.
