Where do you get your gaming news from?

Where do you guys get your news? How do you stay informed?

I feel like I'm completely out of touch these days. I have no clue what Skyrim is, had NO idea that the new Zelda was out of testing. I feel like an old jaded gamer. Le weep.

    Help?

Honestly I get most of it second-hand (third-hand?) from:

    1. Office coworkers
    2. Friends on Facebook
    3. People raging on mmoc forums

Kotaku (people give it a lot of shit, but it's not bad if you look at it as more of a bloggy news site), Joystiq, Massively, Mmosite and some others. I get my WoW news and stuff here.

Skelington doesnt use review sites often. He decides whether the game is good or not; not various websites.

Rakaka (Swedish) Rakakaworld (English, pretty new). Has been around for Sweden for like 6-7 years now. It's most about E-sports though. But you get updated on other games aswell. D3, Skyrim. Etc.

Usually friends / youtube(TB gets some good wtf series out there) / mmo.

Mostly I know which games I'm looking for tho, like if I was very into GW1 I am mostly likely getting GW2 and kinda Google it every now and then.
    Same with other games/genres.

And then some things you can't really miss like:
    "Duuuuude have you played MW3?"
    #not interested sorry to casual#

But yeah mostly I know what games I'm looking for.

My favorite general gaming sites are BluesNews and RockPaperShotgun. Once I'm interested in a specific game I go to whichever devoted fan site I like best. For insidery stuff, blogs like BrokenToys do it for me. Finally, since I'm already there I read the gaming articles on ArsTechnica.

    mmo-champion forums and overclock.net

On overclock.net people will post news about almost any game and they do it very fast

I usually get my information from Pcgamer or from friends. Also browsing Steam quite a bit, and sometimes on gamefaqs

mmorpg.com, fpsguru.com, and I get Game Informer delivered to my house but I don't really read it ever

Game Informer, mostly. For hyped games, I read some news and reviews on release. Online news has overall been pretty meh quality for me, and G4 is....not good.

Word of mouth, forums. I used to frequent BluesNews a lot, but games definitely seem to be 60% letdowns when they arrive... so I sort of stopped focusing on new titles and the hype that often comes with them.

If it's worth playing, I'll hear about it eventually.

I read a lot of IGN, and most of my news comes from them. I also get Game Informer because of my Gamestop Rewards membership, although a magazine really isn't the ideal way to "keep up" with news.
