    Downclocked my RAM

Well, to be safe and to get that Asera character off my back, I went ahead and dropped my 1.65v 9-9-9-24 1600MHz RAM to 1.5v 9-9-9-24 1333MHz.

NOW LEAVE ME BE!!! Q.Q My system just became worse.

You wont notice it, only in benchmarks and such.

2500K only has a 1333mhz memory controller anyway, you won't notice much.

    Oh, kay?

And I actually believe you did the memorycontroller a favour.

This is likely, and I just felt why not, better to let the CPU live longer than kill it over RAM speeds...

Ram is dirt cheap right now if its that important to you. Last I checked. Sandybridge processors with dead memory controllers don't bench

Why did you buy 1.65v 1600's anyways.

Probably since they're cheaper. 1600mhz dimms sell better. I don't know why. Except for the new AMD's, no CPU has a faster memory controller then 1333mhz. Derp.

I was kind of talking more about the voltage and not the speed.
