Open up with Army of the Dead, and let them get aggro. He'll spear you, you click the spear as the debuff fades. You then summon a Ghoul, let it get aggro, get a second spear. You now have two spears to pop bubbles.

I agree with you and that's why I want to to experience the content before the item squish! If you're right, this could be the last patch we can do this, and I'm sure many of you guys out there want to experience old content for the first time (or for nostalgia's sake!).

You basically do what Wih have said, except that you have to dismiss your ghoul once you've been impaled by the spear otherwise he'll just renew the debuff on you until your pet dies. You shouldn't attack the boss at all until later, just to have that said. Once the spear debuff is about to expire, you simply right click spam on the spear and you should be able to loot it if done properly. Now, you just wait until his first bubble is up, you then summon Army of the Dead and let them tank so you get speared again and you repeat what you did before by right click spamming it when it's about to expire. Once you get back up, wait for another shield (it should be coming soonish already at that point), once it's down you start nuking him and you'll use your two spears to break the two bubbles you will get.

How did you get past Essence of Desire?

I could kill the first head no problem but the second one, Desire, seems impossible, I even tried using the LOSing technique described here: http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/...-Dreams!/page4

The problem is the stuns are ranged so it was not getting close enough to hit during the brief gap before re-stunning and parking one outside the room out of line of sight drew spirits like flies and they re-respawn as fast as you kill them thus constantly in your face the whole time.

Wow it didn't occur to me that if it works for ROS it might also be legit for Naj'entus... Thanks for the heads up, might add to my potential Legendary gains lol.

Ps Since I have you guys attention, I've been reading that a lot of you solo Ulduar... I'm sure I can manage but I haven't seen a solid strat for Flame Leviathan. ( I've seen it done with a pally/mage with the bubble cooldown) How would a Dk go about that ? Would I have to put all the cars next to each other and jump ship before they blow up to switch ?

You need good gear, Death Strike selfheal, Unholy build and AMS on CD to DPS while being immune to disorient she casts. And luck in posiotioning your ghoul.. I didn;t manage to pull it off yet (so far about 80% wipes) :/
I will prolly just ask 2 people to help me with this 1 boss..

In 10 man just park your demo at the lower left corner. You can get a motorbike (but with current gear it;s no longer needed) to splat some black goo where FL will stand (in front of you). Fire the goo, then start shooting at FL - I go with pattern 1piryte -> 2regular shots ->1 piryte. When he gets into mele -> piryte->mele->shot->piryte.. Sometimes I shoot 2x piryte.. The trick is to not stack piryte to 10 at the beginning, stack it a bit, then refresh stacks just before they drop. This way you'll have dot ticking on the boss for longer time. With 391 gear FL usually dies before he can kill my demo.
If for some reason you can't kill him that quick - just put second demo in opposite corner and use the motorbike to get to it quickly..

Thanks for the quick response, so with my 403 cata pvp gear I should kill him before he destroys my demo... Guess Im soloing all of Ulduar this week

Flame leviathen is very easy, stack pyrite to about 5, and then do a normal shot in between so the DoT ticks. It should be dead before you are out of ammo. Two manned with all towers up with same tactic :-P

Swift panther dropped in a PuG and I lost it, so I intend to solo High Priestess Kilnara soon (As I saw on youtube that someone could do it). Anyone have some solid advice for the fight itsself before I get myself killed a lot :-P?

Thanks for the big and detailed post regarding ulduar HMs. By the way, it seems that to avoid getting grabbed by a tentacle in p2 you should make sure you're tanking the big tentacle - then you will be considered a tank and won't be targeted.
I only gave it one try though, I went into the brain room with a whole row of debuffs (the circular room) and it took me forever to kill everything while moving like a turtle and being chain-stunned.

On Vezax, I did kill the animus on my first try, but got overwhelmed eventually - shadow crash hits for a ton if you have a fully stacked debuff from the add. Is it even possible to kite him to consistently avoid getting hit by the crash (as in, get the achievement)?

Shadowdodger is not possible to be solod, i tried^^ Just get 1 ranged in that can move and you'll get it easily.

Tried heroic 10m Halion last night and got to P3 pretty easily before I wiped because of a DC. I'm gonna see if its doable. Normal is really easy. The mini bosses and trash are harder than him.

I'm pretty sure I saw a WoL of halion being solod a few days ago, I'm not really sure what they changed about it but apparently he stacks corporeality now instead of being stuck in limbo, and at some point you can outdps his healing.

I don't have the motivation to go check it out by myself =(

Add Saurfang to the list please, you just have to pull decent dps and have a lot of mastery. I've soloed both Saurfang and LK. Saurfang was probably easier, the requirements gear-wise are a bit more though. Onyxia is annoying since you need to dps her down from 60% to ~45% with only IT, Death Coil, and disease dots, but it's manageable. My toon is Wyvren on US Nordrassil (I can't post links yet :P), I use my blood spec obviously for soloing.

Still going to try H:Halion though. Hits hard once the damage stacks high, I might need more gear. But I am not that far into heroic modes so probably won't happen ;/

You can skip the majority of the trash packs. I do the two just to the left of the entrance (because they're easy, don't feel like seeing if they'd pull during Baltharus). Then run straight across through the center and fight Saviana where she stands (nothing pulls). I grab one of the 2 elite packs and pull them to where I fought Saviana to avoid patrols, and then do Zarithrian. You can skip the 5-mob general packs entirely, they don't pull during Halion.
