    Computer Cases

I recently redid my whole computer besides the case and its time has finally come. My only worry is fitting parts in and having a reliable case at the same time. I searched newegg and had a case picked out but came to realize my Motherboard plugs don't line up with their outlines ... =/. This is the case i was originally looking at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129021.

Here are the specs for my Computer:

The case catalog is a nice place.

What case did you find that apparently wouldn't fit?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129021. Just from looking at the rear picture my Mobo wouldn't fit properly.

The i/o shield that comes with a PC case never lines up with the motherboard. Its just a place holder. You should have gotten a proper i/o shield with your motherboard.
You just take the one in the case out and replace it with the one you got with your motherboard.

It's an ATX motherboard, unless someone didn't get the message the case was designed for that motherboard size.

I'm a huge fan of Fractal Design cases myself. Sleek, stylish, quiet, great cable management, and not a million LED's or lighted fans everywhere.

I'm using a corsair obsidian 800d but i wouldnt recommend it as its freaking huge assed had to build a smaller computer to take with me to a lan xD

but yeah fractal design is super sweet :>

Using the Corsair 600TM (same as the 600T but with a mesh window on the side panel) and it's absolutely AMAZING when it comes to cable management.

    I use the HAF 922 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119224

There's a LOT of room inside the case. It's huge. It has pegs that your motherboard sits on that can be moved around in different configurations.

The fans on mine run quiet at about 1800 RPM. It has more than enough room for the drives you're going to put in it.

None of the qualities mentioned are signs of a good case. Really.
    a. All cases from midi and up have plenty of room.
    b. Pegs? Those are stand-offs. It'd be exceedingly stupid to not have those.
    c. 1800 RPM is loud. Not LOUUUUUUUUUUUUUD. Just more loud than mostly any other non-faulty lower-RPM fan.
    d. 5.25" or 3.5" drives, you mean? Last I recall it doesn't have any extraordinary amount of either.

@op I have the antec 900 I would strongly urge you to get the updated case . True it cost more but the improvements they made to the case are more than worth the cost imo. I'll be replacing my old 900 with a new case after christmas and I wont miss it one bit
