Quick question regartding Beta key giveaway

So recently (I think it was Curse/Mass) gave away 175,000 or 75,000.. Fuck I dunno but a LOT of beta keys and was displayed on the front page of MMO-Champ. I entered my key at the swtor's code redemption site, and under my "Code Redemption History" it says:

*11.15.2011 BETA Testing Code (Event 1)*

Now, prior to me receiving a key from this giveaway, I was also invited to ToR's Beta weekend via Email (which im assuming is on the 25th-28th of Nov., says G4TV)... I'm just wondering are these two different Beta events? Is the key from Curse/MMO/Massively to grant access to the Beta weekend as well, or does it grant more permanent access to the testing servers?

Hi! The massive ammounts of keys distributed among fan sites are keys to the same event as the mass invites to SWTOR subscribers that were sent out via email last week.

Thats for same weekend, same even, the giveaway was for everyone that hadn't made the sign in for the beta prior do 11/11/2011.
