i just want to point out that the 4 highest classes in the graph are capable of being healers....with paladins and druids at the top being tanks as well so maybe it should also reflect the most frequently played spec as well... then we could tell which classes are overplayed as far as healers specifically or just dps....i think we would be able to compare rogues and warlocks a little more accurately when compared to paladin dps specs played or kitty/chicken druids played

Is the class balance graph based on the number of changes made to classes this expansion? Or is it something else? I'm a little confused

This shouldn't really be a suprise if you think about it. One of the reasons that tanks are so hard to come by in 5man groups is because they are the least needed spec (in terms of how many you need, not how important they are) in 10man and 25man. Some/most encounters in 10 man require at least 3 healers, 5 DPS and only 2 tanks. The difference in ratio is even higher when you get to 25man - where you need more healers, more DPS but still only 2 tanks. This means that there are far more people with DPS or healing as their main specs than there are tanks (and since people mainly queue for RDF as their main spec, this helps create the "tank bottleneck" we get for randoms). Therefore it's not suprising, really, that the two tank classes who don't have healing-spec options, have a lesser showing than any class with DPS and Healing as their two options.

The Skyrim Daily Blink is so friggen true :/ I wish the actual MMOs would be more like it...it kinda reminds me of the good old times in Everquest 1.

.-At level 4 in wow, you can single-handedly curb a rebellion (Undead), take on a legion of Worgen, be the largest business tycoon in the area (Goblin), and much more.
-Warrior Shouts can send people running for their lives, disorient people to the point that their movement is impaired, cause enemies to use less force with their attacks, and even rally allies, giving them more vitality
.-Exploration gives you achievements, tabards, as well as knowledge of locations that would be relevant for later (WELL, I'll give you that it isn't much, but it's still more than 'fatigue')

I have nothing against Skyrim, but the Daily Blink is really peeving me lately.
Then stop reading it and stop talking about it. I'm guessing you're one of the angry people about the 32bit/64bit thing. You need to relax.

The joke was pretty funny, but imo spoilers in it too >.> Will take some time before an MMO can look like Skyrim. Skyrim is a solo game, would crush your computer if you had the same number of chars standing in towns as in WoW Atleast that what i think, doubt any majority would have computer systems to handle the load ^_^

Well, that is like, your opinion. Not a fact.

I have been playing wow for about 2 years now and I am still loving it, I am also playing Skyrim atm and I found the comic really funny.

Sad to see people getting mad over a joke.

Warlocks are dying breed, at least rogues will get their own legendary next patch, so iam sure their popularity will go up.

I hope these people know that the only thing that makes WoW better than Skyrim is that it's an MMO right? Skyrim to me is the best single player RPG right now and I do wish I could kill dragons at level 4 in WoW lol xD But WoW is still the best MMO for me =]

If you read the Daily Blink and thought the point of the comic was that Skyrim is better then WoW, then I have some bad news for you:

    YOU MISSED THE POINT.

This. Except for the fact there's a Skyrim spoiler in it, which is enough reason to be a bit mad I suppose.

The days of the old style mmo such as WoW vanilla were destined to fail at some point...convenience will always overtake quality after a period of time where quality stays the same/slightly increases yet convenience stays the same and hinders quality improvement. So what do you do to appease more people and draw in a larger crowd? Increase the convenience at the sacrifice of a SMALL minority of players losing some of the things they liked, which in reality were inconvenient and never really necessary in the long run. That is why the LFG was made and many other things.
