Arilistrasz dodged relatively unscathed, fast despite his girth. While he flew sharply to the left, his tail was singed in the fire. Though it burned horribly, the twilight dragon's shadowflame was more of an inconvenience than anything else for the red wrym, who had suffered far worse in his millenia of life. The dragon retaliated with a blast of his own fire, the effective wall of red flames burning through the air towards Alariona. Following through with a quick spell, using bright flashes of light to potentially daze the twilight dragon, he quickly dove towards her, claws again bared.

Finishing his spell, now about 50 yards close to the battle, he extended his arm, sword in hand, and watched as ghouls began to pour out, 2,4,6, 12 total, he sent them on their way, gasping as the runic energy was sucked from him, then, quickly, took refuge under one of the huge tree's exposed root

The violet fire hawk sqawked at the sight of the oncoming ghouls. Propelling himself backwards from the wall of brambles, he looked upon the death knight and his undead minions. Drifting slowly towards the ground before the ghouls, he curled his wings inward, as his talons sunk into the moist earth.

Momentarily later, he swung them open, as a torrent of shadowflame launched itself forwards like a wave. The mindless undead continued forth, and without them flinching, the wave impacted with each of them. The little flesh that remained upon them slowly melted away, as their very bones were turned into ash. Seconds afterwards, the wave dispersed into thin air, leaving numerous piles of charred remains upon the ground.

Cackling madly, he looked around for the Kaldorei death knight that had now seemingly dissapeared. Dropping to the ground, he used his wings as frontal limbs, as the soil beneath him began to dry up and any budding seedlings began to die.

"Mindless wretches they were. The flesh upon them was weak! You are too! Come out pretty night elf!", roared Virazor, scanning the nearby area, seemingly distracted from Zen'tiri and Eloxra by this minor nuisance.

Realizing his plan had worked - Somewhat worked - Raven looked around, more roots, just like the one he was under jutted out from the tree, and at the end of a line of around 4 roots, there was a large hole in the ground, leading to a crevice under the tree, he quickly stood up, and ran from root to root, in between chucking large, cursed green skulls at the hawk, each one draining him of power
At the end of the line of roots he slid into the hole, wishing it was bigger, and hoping the dragons would Hurry up

Ronacus pushed harder as the younger Twilight drake's breath began to falter. The power it burned meant little if he wasn't able to sustain it as long as Ronacus was. He took advantage of the Twilight's weakness and gave one last mighty push of fire before closing his mouth and ending the stream. He bounded over towards the drake as it stumbled to overcome the last of the emerald fire and before it could recover Ronacus tackled him. Rolling with his teeth closed upon the Twilight's neck, he snapped it. Caught up in the thrill and savagery of the fight he rushed at the next nearest enemy, a firehawk. Behind him lay a patch of earth, so recently clensed of fire, again bathed in black and emerald fire and started to slowly consume the plant life that struggled to survive.

He leapt into the air and with a powerful flap of his wings he quickly closed on the firehawk. Letting out another roar, much unlike himself, he ended it with a stream of emerald fire at the hawk. The corruption working its way deeper into his mind. A part of him begged for this fight to be over so he would not fall completely to the dark thoughts in his mind.

Virazor merely brushed off the death knight's attacks. Cawing wildly once more, he fixated his gaze upon where the Kaldorei hid. "Foolish mortal! You seek to drain my life, the very essence of an elemental? You see me weak, like your flesh? Forsake your weakness!", he screeched, before he heard the roar of an unfamiliar dragon.

Looking upwards, Ronacus merely looked like a green blob, darting towards him. As the green dragon unleashed a swath of emerald flame towards him, Virazor could do nothing but quickly raise his wings, hoping to shield himself from the poisonous breath. Purple feathers fanned out, as the fire hawk ducked his head downwards behind them.

The fire split just over the firehawk as it ducked beneath his fire, no more than a few feathers were blasted off. He curved quickly and slammed into the ground facing his openant and unknowingly protecting the hidden death knight. "Twilight coward! Your masters are dead and fleeing! Why can you not follow their heed." Bearing his fangs and claws Ronacus dove at the firehawk.

With a swift flap, the firehawk was propelled into the air. Spreading his wings to slow his descent, he unleashed a torrent of flame upon the emerald child of Ysera.

"Let the purifying flame cleanse you of your frail flesh! Embrace the agony! Burn! Reth! Reth! Reth!", he screeched, breathing another wave of flames upon Ronacus.

Ronacus had not choice but to continue rushing forward as the Firehawk evaded his attack. The Twilights fire brushed against his wings and he pulled them tight against his body. He turned and face the hawk from the ground and unleashed another stream of emerald fire at it after forming a quick spell to alleviate the pain in his wings but his combined injuries were starting to take their toll. He doubted if he would be able to use his wings again until he could recover after the fight. The pain however did had one good side-effect, reason began to over take the bloodlust the corruption in his thoughts wanted so bad.

Too caught up within his own thoughts, Virazor was unable to avoid this attack. Large amounts of emerald flame battered his lower sections, propelling him backwards in the air. Spreading his wings, he caught himself, but the pain upon his lower limbs was found to be excruciating. The thick green poison clung to him, as he slowly threw him self further up, and backwards.

Sqawking madly, he looked with anger upon Ronacus. "Bad whelp of Ysera! Go dream once more, for the waking world does not want you! Or remain, and be cleansed when my father's flame purifies this world! You will be purged in twilight!", he squealed, as he began thrusting his wings in large and fluid movements, hoping to get himself out of there as soon as possible. Quickly breathing tufts of shadowflame upon his lower limbs to remove the poison, he cried out, as the fire hawk retreated in the direction of what remained of Sulfuron Spire. Virazor did not care for the other twilight drakes and dragons that accompanied him; he only cared for his own safety.

Slowly and carefully, not fully believing that the hawk had gone, he climbed out of the hole, covered in dirt, and stumbled over to the child of ysera, Leaning on his runeblade, which no longer glowed blue, all of its energy depleted, he spoke

It worked. It actually worked. my plan.. well. i mean you did most of the work but i definatly got an assist on that one... right?

Raven glanced at the dragon, unsure if he was even listening

Eloxra did not come out from behind the wall of brambles when the fire was set to them. Though the wall writhed slightly and seemed to react to the burning as if in pain, it held up quite well, at least until Virazor's attention was redirected to Ronacus. Taking the opportunity, the emerald dragon shifted her wings in a way that would certainly be unsettling if Zen'tiri was not firmly planted on her back. "Hold on," she said to the troll, taking a few steps back and thrusting downward with her wings, forcing herself into the air.

A young twilight drake dove for her but she was able to repel it with poison and a quick spell that forced the drake into a brutal crash landing, apparently sound asleep - quite a strange ability, if you think about it, but helpful even so. Eloxra watched the drake for only a moment longer before deciding it was safe to look away. When she did, she flew toward Ronacus. Though combat was not one of her strong points, she was an excellent healer - from somewhere behind her flightmate, she hovered in place and silently called upon the rejuvenating powers of the Dream to heal the wounds Ronacus had suffered from Virazor, even before the fire hawk flew away.

Alariona, on the other hand, was not terribly inconvenienced by Arilistrasz. Even though she was forced to fly again, she wove in and out of other combatants and trees and through rocks like it was nothing. Her smaller size lent itself to speed and agility and the ability to squeeze through smaller gaps than the red wyrm chasing her. She cackled and shrieked with insane glee, periodically twisting to fire off a bolt of shadowflame at her pursuant before continuing on a dizzying rollercoaster of a flight path. The fire breath was avoided save the tip of her left wing - upon hearing the roar of the flames coming up fast behind her, she turned hard to the right and avoided the vast majority of the fire. Though her wing was pretty badly scorched, it was not so injured that she would be unable to continue flying.

The bright flashes of light did not daze Alariona - they made her blink uncomfortably and shake her head, and for a few moments her vision was off, but she flew on, never losing her sense of insane glee. "Magic?" she screeched with a shrill laugh. "You would use magic on me? Hah! Let me show you mine!"

And with that, the Twilight drake accelerated enough to get a distance ahead of the red wyrm chasing her. Once far enough that she could safely face him, she did, unleashing a purple bolt of magic at Arilistrasz. Whatever it was, it was corrosive in nature - anything it hit would instantly begin to rot.

Arlistrasz had been playing with the twilight drake, had given her a chance to run. She was becoming an inconvenience that was becoming less and less tolerable by the second. With a burst of speed that a youngling could never manage, he dodged the twilight bolt, showing off both his natural talent and his ten thousand years of experience, and soared up to Alariona. Without even speaking a single word, without chiding the foolish drake, he opened his maw and unleashed a blistering torrent of crimson flame, point-blank. The flames of a dragon were a spell inherent to each respective flight, thus, even shifting to an etheral form would not help them. If this twilight drake survived, she would be forced to retreat with the rest of her kind.

To assume Alariona actually stayed put when Arilistrasz flew up to her would be assuming she was even more of an idiot than she actually is. Nay, she never afforded him the opportunity to get that close to her, because while she was truthfully very young and only artificially aged to be a moderately competitive size, she knew better. As soon as she saw Arilistrasz continue to pursue her, she offered him the draconic equivalent of a scowl and also took off again, propelling herself out of the way with haste, cutting through the air with ease. She was fast, yes, and fast enough to avoid any potentially fatal effects of the breath - she did, however, get hit. A shriek of pain and surprise escaped the twilight dragon as the crimson flame bathed her lower back, tail, back legs, and just barely singed one of her wings.

It was definitely enough damage for her to reconsider how much she wanted to fight the red wyrm. Her scales had an almost molten, definitely painful look about them that suggested her very skin was burnt through them, and the way she suddenly yanked her hind legs up to her body as if in terrible pain corroborated this. With a single, scathing glance to Arilistrasz, Alariona twisted abruptly and jetted off after Virazor without a word, but with a faint trail of smoke following behind her from her scorched hide.

Ronacus sighed and caught his breath as the foul firehawk fled the battle. As he did he finally noticed the wave of healing washing over him and he stretched his wings. All but 100% again he turned to see Atlistrasz still fighting the last of the twilight drakes. From the looks of this he did not need help and Ronacus was not entirely content with waiting but he forced himself too. The corruption of his thoughts railed against him but as Eloxra joined him he was reminded that he was not this vicious. His scales and skin lightened slightly but still far from his normal nearly translucent state. "Thank you Eloxra."

It was only then that Ronacus noticed the young elf so near him. He bared his fangs and heaved his body around to face this new threat. It's undeath and foulness seeped into Ronacus' nostrils as he let out a growl, "Death Knight, what is your kind doing here." Ronacus prepared the fire in his chest in case this abomination was working with the Twilights.

Whoa, Calm down there big boy, impressive gun show but we're on the same side as he realized being cocky wasn't going to work on a dragon that was about to bathe him in flames, he switched gears I - I thought i could help, i have had experiance with killing twilights like them, Even worked to slay hawks like that in The Firelands

The wyrm flew down to where the newest mortal was having a very awkward conversation with Ronacus. The drake he had just fought had underestimated him, and he didn't think her to be a thread any longer. The flames of his breath were quite effective. Looking down upon this human, Arilistrasz had somewhat of an inner battle. On one hand, he was a being of free will, and his claim to life, or unlife, rather, was not one for him to dispute. On the other hand, he was a wielder of necromantic magic. While, as a member of the red dragonflight, Arilistrasz in fact knew necromancy (for life cannot exist without death), he was loathe to use it, to bind souls and bodies to his will.

In his usual deep rumble, the dragon spoke to the green drake "Hush, Ronacus. He cannot harm us." Continuing, this time to the death knight, he said, "Another companion on our quest is appreciated, though someone of your talents is ill-suited to our tasks. Be sure not to defile the bodies and souls of those who seek peace here, death knight. I doubt anyone would like yet another charred corpse to litter this mountain." Though eloquently and politely spoken, it was no idle threat. Arilistrasz would tolerate his presence, but if he caught him using necromantic magic, he would not be kind.

Ronacus slowly relaxed. The threat was indeed gone and it was true enough. A single death knight did not pose a threat to three dragons. Still the fight raged in his head. This one kills flowers just by walking...his life just takes more and more....you should end his...No, he resounded, I am not above my duties. Dark thoughts still composed themselves in his head but outwardly he was able to control it, for the most part. Should he harm them though....You can teach him his mistake. His scales still appeared more solid and darker. He shifted his gaze to the field they fought in. Absentmindedly he spoke, "Right you are Arilistrasz. Just stay away from my plants death knight."

Tore up and in places still burning. He shifted back to his Kal'dorei and found his staff. A somber mood overtook him and his changes in his true form transferred to his current one. His hair a darker gray from its normal silvery sheen and his skin a much darker tinge, almost as if he was sick. "These abominations......why can't they just stop...." He bent down over a grouping of flowers and began to help them. Replanting and nurturing them back to health so many barely holding onto the life they just newly obtained. After that he paused at looked at the lifeless forms of his foes. "At least in death you can have some redemption for the havoc you wrought." As he spoke he took several seeds, of various flora and grass and blew them towards the beasts. They quickly took root spread fast over the pair, with Ronacus' help of course.

Slowly he stepped away from the dragons, now able to support himself, he thrust his rune-blade into the nearby corpse of the twilight assailant, where it would feed off of the last energy contained in his body.

So, they send dragons to plant flowers? Shouldn't you be out hunting the aspect of death?

He paced the area, stomping out what little flames remained, and avoiding anything living, including the dragons

"Savin' Azeroth in otha ways is as important as defeatin' da Aspect of Death.", grunted Zen'tiri as he slid off of Eloxra's back, seemingly almost showing a hint of hate towards the death knight. It was evident that he was not a fan of his kind, and their ways of death.

Using his staff for support, he kneeled upon the ground, looking upon the plants that had been scorched by the fire hawk. Enticing the spirits of flame to leave the desolate earth, he sighed at the sight of charred plants and the parched soil. So much wasted time.
