Do you need an nVidia GPU to use the nVidia 3D feature?

you will need to use AMD's 3d feature (which i know nothing about) all i know is that to use nvidia features you need nvidia hardware

Nope, won't work. You need to use AMD HD3D. See this list of what you need. The card is fine, but you need the right tv/glasses/etc. http://www.amd.com/us/products/techn...-hardware.aspx
