More companions?

I dont think you really need more than one in combat, it would get a little silly to have a full party in an mmo :P

You can send any number of them on quests at a time I believe. Can only have 2 in the field with you though. The robot isn't a true companion. He's a ship droid. He cant fight with you, but can do crafting/quests.

This, you could then do HC4 missions which is a big nono if you ask me ...

Ah ok, was it always like that? For some reason I had it in my mind that if you were a tank you could take a Healer and a DPS out in the field with you. Might have been confusing it with something else. I wouldn't mind 2 for that exact reason ( Always being able to have the holy trinity with you would be nice ) but I can definetly see why they don't do it, and it's not a major deal anyways.

Not sure. The original stuff I read about was from data mined audio files where companions would talk about taking care of your legacy. Was a post on Alterswtor, but I can't find it now for some reason. May be gone or I may be using wrong key terms on search

as a future male sage, i find the lack of a female tanking companion appauling...here's hoping Nadia is viable for a healer/melee combo. want to expirience the romancing thing tbh. big part of the game apperantly. heard it gave crafting bonusses or whatever if your companion likes you?
