Tor class role guides

Had anyone seen or written a tor class role guide?


It would be great to see a summary all in one place.

"Role"?
Or do you mean the sub-specs?

Because role will continue to be DPS, Healer, and Tank.
Sometimes there is some crossover and personal responsibilities - Sith Sorcerers can keep the tank alive, but the rest of the group needs to contribute healing too or they fail due to "oom" conditions before the fight is over.
Tanks will always exist - someone spec'd specifically to lower the incoming damage number and to keep the target occupied. But again, this role is a bit vague in TOR because a DPS could taunt, blow some cooldowns, and let the tank taunt back to give some breathing room.

It's possible to play the game without these roles, but the end game will feature it prominently as people seek to simplify their strategies.

Just finding it confusing to decide on a class at the moment and thought a list of classes with AC options and roles could be really handy. Wouk be great to get an idea of play style.

For example 'assasian plays a lot like a rogue but also is able to...' ( I have no idea what they play like).

I tried looking thro the threads in the official forum but they seem to be full of miss information and lore arguments

Yeah it would be great if someone could find many different videos and put pieces together to highlight all the ACs during gameplay (like a Jedi Shadow/Assassin tanking some mobs and also using stealth, etc.) and narrate over the basic details for each.
