question about legendary staff quest

We are a 6/7h guild and our mage is really close to finishing the siphon quest. He said 1 lockout if lucky 2 if not. With 4.3 coming soon we wondered if doing a normal 25 man with our second raid group would allow him to finish it in 1 lockout. Basically would doing 6/7 normal on 25 net him more of the siphon item than 6/7 heroic in 10? Thanks in advance.

Why would doing 6/7 Normal net him more than 6/7H? If you're talking about 6/7H 10 man and didn't mention that, I believe 6/7H 10 gives more than 25 normal by around 4 essences.

yea typed that last sentence wrong i meant to ask if normal 25 is quicker than heroic 10 ill edit it but thanks

normal 25 is the same as h10 - both give 7-8 per boss - ie 42-48 per clear.

Heroic 25 will get you 9-11 per boss - ie 54-66 per clear.

Answer is basically nope - but if you are capable of pushing a few 25 heroics on top (shan, alys, domo?) - it might be enough to get you there.

thanks for the answer. we were thinking of doing 1-3 if possible on heroic.
