What do you do with your computer, what do you play?

That motherboard is overkill unless you're doing SLI, in my opinion, get something like this:

PSU is pretty overkill too, get 650-750W.

HDD is pretty horrible, it's 5900RPM, you want something 7200RPM+.

Don't really need the i7, it's a luxury, get the i5 2500k

Don't need 16GB RAM unless you run dual monitor with 10 photo/movie editing programs open.

BD is a waste unless you plan on playing Bluray in your DVDD, just get a burner e.g.

The 560 Ti seems pretty underwhelming for the budget you have. 16GB of ram is overkill, and you don't need the i7 processor unless you are going to be doing things that need it(rendering, video editing, etc). If this is primarily a gaming machine, go with the 2500k which will be amazing and use the money for a better video card.

You could also probably go with a $200-250 motherboard and save even more unless you really want the features that one has to offer. With the money saved on processor/mobo you could probably be able to afford a GTX 580 if you dropped another $40-50 or so, otherwise you could definitely get a 570 or 6970.

Yeah, with the money saved from downgrading to an i5 2500k and a less extravagant MB, you could upgrade your GPU to something more high end, e.g. GTX580.

Sorry should have stated the plan. I am going to be running a dual monitor setup. I do plan on starting to do minor video editing as a hobby.

I switched out the 560 for the 580.
Took out the BD and got the regular burner.
Went with http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822148767 for HDD
I'm going to keep the 16GB RAM just because it's cheap.
Switched out the i7 for the i5 2500.

Sound good?

Didn't check all the prices(assuming you have since its your money) but those look like great tradeoffs to me. As long as its minor video editing the the i5 should be fine. If its more professional or you seriously want more speed in it then the i7 is a good choice, but other than that theres no real benefit for gaming/regular use.

The ram is pretty cheap so it doesn't really hurt to go for it, and you can always pick up a Blue ray drive down the road if you really want it when you get the funds.

Yea the price totaled just over 1900 before rebates and such.

Switched out the PSU for a 700w and selected the mobo that Adsertif linked.

Are there any major differences in PSU ratings? ie gold, silver etc?

The higher the rating(Bronze->Silver->Gold) the more efficient they are. Anything 80+ is going to be good though, its just a matter of how good you want it. I'm not sure if its still on sale but the SeaSonic X750(750w, 80+ Gold) was on sale for $120 the other day, which I picked up for the rig I'm building. No experience with it but all I hear are amazing things about it and SeaSonic as a whole. Went with it cuz it was only like $10 more than the other 750w I was looking at and is fully modular.

Get rid of the HDD, and go with SSD. You'll see huge gains in performance.
