So I'm trying to figure out the correct clcret string now that I have my 2p but every other post has one thing shifted in front of another, and generally said posts are 1+ months old.

Code:

Normal: inqa inqrhp cs jhp inqrdp tvdp exoud exo how tvhp hw cons
Zeal: inqa inqrhp cs inqrdp tv exoud exo how

This is what I currently have in, but sometimes it feels out of whack(likely me adjusting). Are these the correct strings, or am I completely off?

For boss encounters, probably just assumed that everyone knows this but of course, switch to seal of righteousness for multi-add situations.

Had a very busy week with school and lovely newly found Guild Mastership (can't think of a better word for it). Doing what I can to update this right now, and keep it updated consistently.

While it's a week late and I apologize for the delay, your normal tvhp is very late in that priority, and it needs to be moved up before cs. There's never any reason to skip a 3HP TV as there's no reason to skip a Rogue finisher - it's the entire point of the rotation. Everything else looks fine, for the most part. As for the Zeal priority, I've been using something that was posted awhile back - cs inqr inqa tvhp exoud tvdp exo how jhp hw cons. I would love to give credit to whomever posted that, but I'm not 100% sure of who it was.

I was reading this and your rotation is wrong. You have to put tvhp just after inqa and inqr and always before cs. So I had make a good rotation for CLCRet as simple as can be.

You definitely caught that one. Just sort of copy + pasted without doubling checking it. Strangely enough, CLCRet knows to not use CS at 3HP in any situation, so it doesn't seem to have an impact.

Hi guys,

Just starting to play my ret pally again, and am really enjoying it this patch. I have a quick question about zealotry usage. I know this was addressed on page 1, but just looking for a little confirmation/more detail to ensure i'm doing correctly.

The guide says to pair zealotry and avenging wrath together. This makes sense so that the benefits of zealotry see the increased damage from avenging wrath. However, because avenging wrath allows use of hammer of wrath, I just do not seem to have as many extra CDs to utilize zealotry as I do during non-avenging wrath periods. I'm by no means an expert on this rotation yet, so that could be a big part of the problem. But again, it seems like when I use AW/Zeal at the same time, I dont get close to full utilization out of zealotry. Whereas, if I do the two separate, I do get alot closer to full usage. (have alot more downtime CDs when AW is not used).

If AW does 20% increased damage, wouldn't I need to get around 80% of zealotry's normal usage (with AW) to compare to using it without AW up? I dont feel like I get even close this.

Kind of talking out loud, but any thoughts from the community would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hammer of Wrath doesn't get the same kind of priority that your other abilities do during Zealotry. Just because HoW is available to use during AW doesn't mean you have to use it then. It has a much lower crit chance than it used to, and your GCD's are better spent churning out those CS->TV's. During Hero/Lust, you should only seriously have to CS->TV, repeat...for the 20 seconds of Zealotry. With the levels of Mastery on our gear now, you could want nothing more than to use just those two abilities.

Stacking AW+Zealotry is optimal. Trust me.

all I have is 2 set bonus form t12. What is the best priority for CLC? Is it the main page one of the one a couple posts up?

This one, yes.

Pre-T13: Inq > 3HP TV > CS > DP TV > HoW > Exo > J > HW > Cons

Also IIRC always use Divine Plea after Consecration just in case you proc a lot and won't use Judgement. But this only happens when you end up with a gap in your rotation where you won't be able to fill with a proc, Judge or HW between your Crusader Strikes. That's at least what I did before 4.3.

Waste of stats imo. You should always glyph this. Less raw exp will give you more room to reforge to get more of another stat.

This was more of a hot topic during T11, when our gear was absolutely loaded with Expertise. Some people were running into the prospect of using Glyph of Judgement or GoCS over GoSoT. The general consensus was that if you had at least 26 expertise before the glyph, use one of the other options. (This can't really happen in today's gear anyway)

None of that is relevant now. GoSoT is perfect now with the lovely Crit and Mastery on our gear nowadays. Use it.

Hello,

I found this stat weights from Kisko's [Ret] Trinket ratings estimation:

Wspeed - 567.38
Wdps - 12.21
Hit - 5.40
Exp - 4.23
Str - 3.42
Mastery - 2.34
Crit - 2.03
Haste - 1.53
AP - 1.51

and used them to calculate the dps value of H Slicer and H Ataraxis, since im a HUMAN i calculated the extra expertise from Ataraxis (90 expertise) and reforged haste to mastery,

H Slicer:
362*2.03 (crit) + 347*2.34 (mastery) = 1546.84

H Ataraxis:
362*2.03 (crit) + 138*2.34 (mastery) + 209*1.53 (haste) + 90*4.23 (expertise) = 1758.25

I have read countless times that H Slicer is better so i'm wondering if this stat weights are correct or if the Mace is truly better for a Human paladin due to the extra expertise.

Leskilo, have you tried simming both weapons with the proper reforging done in order to use both weapons?
