In essence CombustionHelper is meant for Fire mages stuff, nothing more, i could have renamed it FireMageHelper but it would have been a mess to advertise everyone about it. You'll never see generic mage stuff in it, like spellsteal, sheep, 4t13, Flame orb or whatever as it auto disable when not firespec and not having theses features in arcane/frost spec is illogical.

However, even if they are pretty useful, all CombustionHelper features are optional (except when it bugs, which is the case with cauterize icon, expect a fix soon) so you can remove what you don't need easily.

And nope i don't plan to add CD manager for abilities, you should already be using whatever OmniCC/CooldownCount/PowerAuras you have.

Version 2.9.1 is pending approval from curse with fix for cauterize icon showing, border color selection and fix for opacity settings bugging in colorpicker.

Btw couldn't reproduce any bug with autohide, you'll need to be more precise about it.

I just produced the problem again with the latest version at the raider's training dummy in Stormwind. All I did was do a burn phase and use combustion then when I got low on mana I stopped damage and drank. The CombustionHelper window remains open even when combustion is ready, additionally while I'm out of combat. To reproduce simply use the "Autohide OOC and Combustion off cd" AutoHide mode. If I reload the window hides as it should.
