Bounty hunter merc or powertech

i played the beta this weekend and played a bounty hunter mercenary and enjoyed it, but in wow i do enjoy both tanking and healing, and its pretty awesome to dual wield blasters ^^

but i want to know what is best for healing/tanking and dps mercenary or powertech?

Sorry you can't have both tanking and healing in the same advanced class. Take mercenary (twin blasters) if you want to be a healer or take powertech (baster + shield generator) if you want to be a tank. Either advanced class also has 2 dps trees.

Well all things being equal they should be the same with dps. I guess it depends what you want to play, as a bounty hunter I went mercenary because I liked the twin blaster look. I'll be playing a trooper at launch and the big gun the commando gets is pretty good as well.

Shieldtech > Tank
Advance Prototype > mellee dps
Pyrotech > Dps close range dps

Mercenary:
Bodyguard > healer
Arsenal > Range dps
Pyrotech > Mid range dps

Played Advance prototype in beta and absolutely loved it having mostly instant skills and using alot of fire.

Yeah I played Advanced Prototype too, it was a nice mix of survival stuff (passive dmg reduction, shield skills) and things that go boom loudly.

Would have loved to try pyrotech too, loved the flame stuff!
