    mac pro processor

    i have a mac pro that has a intel processor in it that is not being used anymore and was just wondering if anyone knows if i could take that processor out and use it in a pc that i would build

    Yes, you can, but if it is old enough to not use anymore, you will have a hard time finding a motherboard that will support it. You would be better off nuking the OS and formatting the drive, then installing Windows 7 over it.

    You can always try ebay, i found a lot of stuff that is discontinued on ebay.

    By Mac Pro you mean the tower, right?

    If so then I don't see why not, unless the model is pretty old.

    I believe you can take the intel xeons CPU out without many problems
