Are we not able to transmogrify our staff into anathema, it tells me unique items do not work

Yes you can use Anathema for transmog - already done it

Maybe the issue is the staff you have equipped and are trying to transmog?

If you're trying to Transmog Tarecgosa's Rest then it won't work (or any legendary for that matter).

You had me worried for a minute there. If the priest epic quest stuff wasn't transmorgable, I wouldn't expect the hunter stuff to work either, ruining my transmorg plans.

Benediction and Anathema are both functioning for Transmogrification. The "You cannot use unique items for this feature" is limited specifically to Void Storage.

I have my Eye of Divinity and Eye of Shadow, but no shard of Nordrassil to combine them T_T I doubt I'll ever be able to get my priest stick..

The item didn't get removed, but there is no way to get it anymore if you don't already have it.

More clearly... how you get those items was removed from the game... the items themselves were not removed though.
