    SWTOR Known Issues 20 Days Till Launch

    Launching/Loading Issues
    Queue wait times displayed on the Server Select Menu may appear to be significantly longer than the actual wait time.

    On the Server Select Menu, server names may vanish if the list is scrolled.

    Workaround: Click on a column name to re-sort the list of servers.

    The process 'launcher.exe' can leave a ghost process in the task manager, and players are unable to open the launcher with it running.

    Solution: If you double-click on the launcher icon and nothing happens, go to your Task Manager (press Ctrl+Alt+Del, then start Task Manager), click the 'Processes' tab, look for 'launcher.exe' and click 'End Process' if it is present.

    Gameplay Issues
    Players may not always be able to loot. This may occur after a recent player death, or during gathering.

    Workaround: Press X twice to have the character sit and then stand up, then try to loot again.

    A large change to the items system may have invalidated some character's items from an earlier build. Pre-existing characters will gain no benefit from wearing these items.

    Workaround: If you are playing on a pre-existing character, unequip all gear currently being worn and attempt to re-equip it. For any gear that cannot be re-equipped, you may have to purchase or loot additional gear.

    Any taxis other than the cab / speeder bike style do not resummon companions after the player reaches their destination.

    Workaround: Upon reaching your destination, resummon your companion by right-clicking on their portrait window at the bottom left.

    When a group leader assigns loot to a player with a full inventory, he will not receive an error message.

    Players cannot enter the ship of another group member after that ship’s owner has already entered.

    Battle Droids will play an incorrect animation when attacked by melee classes.

    In space combat missions, missiles will sometimes not hit their target. This will cause the lock on reticle and audio to persist.

    Interactive objects in the world will sometimes display their effect on click, although a duration bar may still be present.

    The Galactic Trade Network does not properly refund bids for closed auctions.

    When dueling with the opposite faction, the losing player can continue to be attacked by the winner of the duel without consequence. This does not have any effect on gameplay out of the duel and is only applicable between the two players dueling each other.

    When using the Round Robin loot ruleset, if another group member attempts to loot an item that is assigned to you, neither player may receive the item(s).

    The Operation 'Karagga's Palace' is temporarily unavailable for play.

    User Interface Issues
    After being healed by your companion, a green visual effect may remain on your character.

    Workaround: Travelling to a new planet or story area or logging out and back in will fix this issue.

    Character and companion portraits (AKA 'paper dolls') may not always be visible.

    Workaround: This issue is related to your Shader Complexity setting being set to 'Low'. Press 'Escape' and click 'Preferences'. Under 'Graphics' in the 'Advanced' section, check 'Shader Complexity'. If it is set to 'Low', set it to 'High' and click 'Apply'. You may need to refresh your UI by pressing Ctrl + U, waiting a few seconds and then pressing Ctrl + U again to see your character/companion portraits again.

    Using Reverse Engineering on a stack of items will reverse engineer the entire stack.

    Workaround: Remember to split stacks of items before you Reverse Engineer, to make sure that you only change the number you want.

    Tooltips for item sets do not display correctly.

    Workaround: View the tooltip for the last item in the item set to see the full, correct tooltip.

    The guild roster page cannot currently be sorted via the ‘Guild Rank’ column.

    The ‘Show Coverbar’ UI function has been removed.

    After abandoning a quest, icons that had been present on the minimap (bottom right) will continue to be visible on the minimap until the character leaves the planet or area.

    Items on the Galactic Trade Network that have random attributes will not display those attributes via tooltip until they are purchased.

    The Friends list does not always update online status dynamically.

    Viewing another player’s Crew Skill list will incorrectly display both your schematics and the other player’s.

    Defeated enemies will sometimes remain standing and may not display loot indicators when loot is available.

    Commendations vendors do not give confirmation dialog when players purchase items.

    Using crafting recipes can cause them to disappear from the Crew Skills window.

    Hardware/Compatibility Issues
    ATI video cards may experience some graphical inconsistencies such as blank icons, blank character portraits, or flickering shadows. These may supersede the other issues listed here.

    Players with English language keyboards who are playing the French and German language versions of the game client cannot enter special characters using key combinations.

    Workaround: Wherever possible, using a French or German language keyboard when playing with the French or German language game client.

    Non-Issues

    Some aspects of The Old Republic are often questioned but are in fact 'working as intended'. This section includes details of those.
    Under Graphics preferences, the Anti-aliasing option is not yet functional.

    The Combat Log is disabled.

    Some chairs and benches cannot be interacted with.

    In multiplayer conversation, rolls are intended to be over 100 at times. This allows players to 'crit' on a roll!

    Blizzard/Activision would wait and iron out these issues i.e. Diablo 3, it seems they intend to launch the game with these issues.

    "We have all the problem of a major theme park and a major zoo and the computers aren't even on their feet yet."

    We already know of the other list that contains a list of features that wont make it at launch, and they plan on launching it in the future.

    its a beta test, doesnt matter if its 20 days from launch, the build we are playing is not the build they are using in office.
