I don't get it, is it just lego for adults?
I don't get it, is it just lego for adults?
What is the point of WoW? Just use one attack and loot corpses?
What is the point of Halo? Just shoot people and run around?
The point of the game is to create, to let your imagination run, to build, etc. Making it sound like "just like lego for adults" is an absurd point to make.
What is the point of life? You die at the end and nobody will care 100 years from now.
It's fun, that's it. You either like it or you don't.
MMO-Champ the place where calling out trolls get you into more trouble than trolling.
lego is awesome, get some friends and build whatever you can imagine
point of a game, point of a game, point of a game... hmm
oh I found it!
to f'ing have fun, just as any other game...
I never played it, I don't like the looks of it. but i'm quite sure those who like it are having fun in it!
stop looking for meaning in video games.
Why am I back here, I don't even play these games anymore
The problem with the internet is parallel to its greatest achievement: it has given the little man an outlet where he can be heard. Most of the time however, the little man is a little man because he is not worth hearing.
If Blizzard did make WoW like the normal genre of game, which is essentially just playing through the levels, and stopping once you have completed the last level (and in some games obtained various upgrades), then it wouldn't have lasted nearly as long as it has.
Some people don't care about others.
For me, the point of life is to be happy, do whatever you like but be happy.
It's the same for any videogames, have fun playing it. Even if minecraft look boring for some people, some people like it.
I had LOT of fun in minecraft, but now I don't play a lot anymore.

I'll be fair with you that the other thread is not on the front page of the section, but you should've looked anyways.
I'm sure this thread will get locked soon.
- BoubI sold out 4 years ago, when I sold to Major League Gaming. And I think you're a troll.
The point is having fun, preferably with friends. It's reminiscent to when you were a child and your entire backyard could be a pirate-ship, a castle, a futuristic battlefield... only limited by your imagination.

Nothing about Minecraft is social, dude. Not even servers are all that social - most of the time people build something on their own and then go "HAY GUYS COME SEE WHAT I MADE", that's about as social as it gets.
There's a reason Minecraft is jokingly referred to as an autism simulator.

The point is to have fun, just like everything.
