Stay at home and wait it out. Take aspirin or cold medication as needed. Drink plenty of fluids.

If a video game developer removed tumors from players, they'd whine about nerfing their loss in weight and access to radiation powers. -Cracked.com

Drink hot tea with a bit of lemon, best cure ever.

Chicken noodle soup. Nab also nailed it.

There are also lozenges that have extra zinc in them that actually really do help.

    It depends on you though...

We have a very powerful painkiller in the UK called Solpadeine which deals with most of the symptoms with ease. It's so strong though that it can very easily become addictive, so I wouldn't advise it for the long term. Unfortunately the world doesn't stop for a cold, so I would suggest wrapping up, keeping warm, and drinking lots of fluids (tea/coffee, etc; though anything is good, i'm just getting over quite a bad cold which had me quite dehydrated too that gave my tongue some ulcers as a result)

Rest up and get vitamin C, drink like twice as much as you normally do. Water, or hot tea work well.

Wear heavy sports gear many layers, Go for a 10 mile run, then take a cold bath-

resting in bed only incubates the cold

Eating lots of icecream helps me when I have a cold. Calms down the throat and I suppose the sugar keeps me in a happy mood as well, heh.
I'm diagnosed with high-functioning autism and PTSD.

Orange juice. I never get colds and I cycle about 6 miles every day at night and it's freezing cold, and I reckon it's the juice.
Cho’Gall: Cairne Bloodhoof is dead? Did we kill him?
Deathwing: No. The Grimtotems weakened him with poison, and then Garrosh accidentally hacked him to death with an axe during a heated political discussion.
Cho’Gall: How do you accidentally kill someone with an axe?

Get off the juice or roids. Lance Armstrong would not approve. Barry Bonds was on the juice and his head got huge.

Might sound abit wierd, but it seriously makes my ones vanish quickly. Or when you feel one coming on, it will always stop it from happening.

    1) Eat 2-3 Whole Cloves of garlic
    2) Drink real homemade Lemon and Honey drinks constantly for the day.

Sounds painfully funny but it works amazingly well.
