System Sounds problem

so i was trying to watch a youtube video but there was no sound
so i went and checked my sound settings
it will play music files but when i check the system sounds it wont play those either
any suggestions?

go to mixer and turn the volume of system sounds up

You sure you haven't muted youtube? Try with another video site like vimeo or some p0rn (just to test it). And I don't think sound from websites is under "system audio". Isn't that those small sounds that plays when you boot, shutdown, error warnings etc?

What music player do you use?

i did all the things you have mentioned first and i use wmp for basic stuff

geez guys im sorry i even wasted your time i just restarted and its working now probably because of some plugin pack i added and needed to rest but never did again i apologize for not doing this 1st and wasting peoples time

hi you can recover it through My Computer>properties>hardware>Device Manager and the refresh or re-installed if there is any driver with problem

Further if you have chipset board then use the original sound driver to install
