using 40" or up TV as monitor for PC, was wondering about Hz & refresh rate...

    - I'm now search for huge TV for my PC, just to be able watch movies and play maybe some games on it, was wondering about Hz and response rates, most of Plasma TVs come with 600HZ (which is obviously fake, its just 60hz with clever system what makes your eyes think of quick picture changing, since you won't see ghosting on plasma TV because they use different type of (eons?) which turns off everytime scene from very bright changes to something colourful for example or vica-versa), but there are TVs around with 100-400hz (most of these use dual refresh rates, if I understand right, for example 200Hz TVs using 100Hz for each eye, making it up as 200Hz monitors, is this correct?) - how will they affect gaming, for example if you play FPS shooters where 100 FPS is a must, monitors with less than 100 Hz will work bad with such quick-changing scene games? also response rate for most Plasma/LED Tvs are at 0.0001 (1ms), is that true if you use for PC, or it has delay which makes it actually be as a 5ms response rate monitor?

here are some TVs I have eye on atm, which I might take, if nobody will recommend me better ones...

I have nVidia GTX 480 video card, so I might go for 3D TV, since videocard is powerful 'enuff to handle 3D too, I have LG Optimus 3D phone, which has nice 3D stuff and is passive (not like TVs, which are active and you have to buy seperate glasses to view 3D effects).

I REALLY suggest AGAINST this, unless you're ready to massively strain your eyes...

Yes. Upon your return, I will gift you a beautiful flower."

Not if it's a few feet away from the user, could be quite nice.

obviously, it will be about 2meters away from me, I will use it as 2nd monitor just for movies/games I would enjoy on full screen, so yeah, still wondering about that Hz and response rate.

Copy&pasting this from another thread reply I just wrote since it's relevant

Yeah, all TVs even up to 600Hz or whatever the marketing departments claim are just interpolating frames in between to make movement smoother. Only 3D TVs may have genuine 120Hz capability so I would not diss it right from the start. Depending on how the 3D works on that TV. If it's done with shutter glasses that alternate between frames it is real 120Hz, but if it shows two side-by-side pictures then it's only 60Hz in reality.

Regardless it should work fine as a standard 1920x1080 monitor with computer in 60Hz mode for really big screen gaming, but don't expect 120Hz support for higher framerates.

with "shutter glasses that alternate between frames" you meant as for example screen split into lines, for example i is camera 1 and ! is display 2, like my LG Optimus 3D phone uses? i!i!i!, each eye actually captures only one camera (1 or 2), if you move phone to side, your eyes start to "search" for complete image (camera 1 or 2).

if so, since its online shop, I can't tell which they use it, most of online sellers can't even write such stuff down, yesterday was at Currys to check if store has 3D Panasonic Plasma TV I had eye on, but they dont write any detailed info about that TV there, so it's hard to tell if it is that TV or not.

Also about Plasma using as PC monitor, will it "burn in" images such as taskbar/icons in my screen, since they mostly are 'always see' and does not disapear unless you enter full screen game.
