    Starup Time utterly slow?

    Anyone else is experiencing very very very slow loading times? Startup times can take anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes, area zones up to 2 minutes.

    Could be my HDD dying but its only 5months old (7.2k RPM, 32MB Cache / 1TB).

    I have no problem with loading screens

    IIRC the first 7 months are when most hard drives fail, if it makes it past the 7 months its golden

    Is it a Hitachi Deathstar? (Sorry couldn't resist!)

    Do you run a lot of other things on your PC? Anything that would mean read/write on the disc.
