    Did they enable AA for launch?

    No they did not. But there is is a line you can add to the client code to force enable AA. I did it and the game looks great.

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars - The Old Republic\swtor\retailclient > Client_Deafults
    add "AntiAliasingLevel = x" under [Renderer]

    You can set x to any number you like such as 2, 4, 8
