SWTOR FPS Issues

I was reading up on the forums about FPS issues, it seems alot of people are having problems. I'm running at like 1-2 FPS in the starting world and its really pissing me off. Customer support told me to copypasta my DXDIAG stats but they are taking their sweet as time with it. So I figured I'd post it here to see if any of you guys could figure it out. I run WoW on max settings at 60 FPS so I really am baffled as to whats going on.

just skimmed through it, GFX card is outdated, update that, but since you went HP, your probably going to have to update your power supply to. sorry bra..SWTOR is a bit more graphics intensive then warcraft

I surpass the reqs though, Thats what I dont understand. According to NVIDA my card is up to date. SWTOR calls for a 2GHZ processer I have a 2.5 (Cutting it close, I know) calls for 2 gigs of ram... I have 8GB... and a 4500+ NVIDA card, I have a 9630 or whatever it is. I feel like it might be a setting or directX itself, Im running DX11 and I've heard they had problems with 11. Is there a way I can go back to 10?

Turn shadows off keep it off
turn all sliders to Low

My kid is playing it on the slowest comp in the house, a Athlon 4400+ O.C to 2.5ghz with a 450gts. Running 1680x1050 with Shadows off and sliders ranging from low to medium. FPS jumps from 14-60.

You may be able to simply switch from DX11 to DX9 in SWTOR's graphics options. WoW has such an option.

If not, you could probably change a setting in the SWTOR Config file to do it, but I'm not 100% sure on that, something you'd have to look up.

Other than that I don't know -- The GFX card isn't great, but you should probably be getting more than 1-2 FPS (If you are seriously stay at 1-2 FPS and its not spiking from 1-2 to like 15-20). That makes me thing it is some sort of software or optimization issue.

I'd have to agree. We've gotten about 6 people from our Minecraft server to purchase the game and several have had to buy new GPUs. My laptop is only a few years old and I can raid in WoW 10mans around 20fps. Star Wars? 1 fps while questing. I can't even move inside cities. Your memory and cpu look fine though.

Funny thing about swtor, but it's currently optimized worse than WoW. For example people rocking latest sandy bridge i7 with dual 570s and 12 gig ram have the same FPS in some places as I on my mediocre laptop. At this time you can just wait and see.

A small advice tho, try setting your texture quality and character detail to high instead of low and than turn off the shaders. Apparently game runs faster on high detail than on low. Talk about rushed release...

This is definitely the issue. I really, really doubt it would run on such an old card :P. Subtract a zero at the end and you have your required card. However, you're in luck. These cards aren't really expensive, so an upgrade is not hard to come by.
Also, I don't really see that you got DX11 running on that card. Isn't that supposed to be something for the 400+ series and higher?

Ps. I'm running SWTOR on a 295 overclocked 2.6 gigs (which is a monster-card), but I'm not able to run it on full with a good fps. I guess this might be an issue with not having DX11....? Not sure really. Not that I'm complaining, the game is awesomesauce .

EDIT:
I checked it up for you a bit, and a nVidia 450's price varies between 80 and 130 euro's, which is a very good price.
