Does every green item have a blue/purple alternative through RE?

Leveling Armormech, currently at 320 aprox. and i have had some problems getting blue item schematics through RE. When I RE blues, i normally get a purple recipe un 4-6 attempts, but i have had 2 cases (both gloves) where despite RE'ing 12 times green items i can't get a blue recipe.

Is it really random and that was bad luck? are not all items REable? any way to know?

It is quite random, I have pretty good luck getting epic Hilts in my Artificing, but have horrible luck getting blue or epic Generators or Enhancements.

My experience is that it is very random, I'm artifice and when pushing up crystals sometimes it has taken many many greens or blues to get to purple.

yeah as the others have said: its very random, i once RE'd blue gloves in hopes for an epic about 15 times before i gave up.

Takes a good bit more once your past 300, just a fyi...

It's totally random sadly. I had a lot of luck getting blues/purples with arms tech but could barely get a single blue recipe with synthweaving.
