Looking for critics on my first build!

I'm looking for reviews on this build I made myself. I'm not so sure about the motherboard. i will prolly add an SSD (now or later) budget is 1500$ and resolution of my screen is 1920x1080 to play wow/sc2 and D3 (maybe some other new game who knows). I plan on buying it all in the next few days. Current Grand total is $1,463.77 with shipping (Canadian dollar). include suggestions, compatibilities issues and more! thanks you all in advance because this community here has been great to learn, share and learn more but soon is action time! I took the 922 in case I want a bigger/better gpu card (12') haf 912 don't fit 12' card (feel free to suggest other/better) not gonna overlock yet since my budget is already attained

It's not worth it to go for a slightly faster hard drive for a $50 extra price tag. I'd stay with your Seagate drive.

If its too much ... you can downgrade the SSD or the Cooler , or remove them completly

If you wonder what is a GTX560 Ti 448Cores well basically its a cheaper GTX570 :P But it overclock so much better !!

^^ you completly missed the point your build is cheaper because of different components. I don't need a new build its up there ^^ looking for insight on what seems wrong in it or if everything should work fine. I use ASUS because even though they have lemons (like all company) once in a while if you get a good one they are damn good. I have had problem with my dad's pc who was working with a ASROCK mobo and it broke down, we changed it to gigabyte and no problem (i did not do the changing). while I know how to overclock the cpu I wouldn't risk overclocking my graphic card also a 560 ti not overclock =/= 570. the bonus of using a 570 is keeping the warranty intact.

the seagate will eventually be a second drive. I was thinking of (because of the stupid hardrive prices) buying my SSD first then my HDD. this laptop I have (screen not working and network card going to hell has a 136 gig hard drive I could convert to a external for storage purpose in the meantime. what would be a good SSD? what size should I look for?

I have had no bad comment on the rest so I'm thinking it is legit? was not so sure about the mobo or memory sticks and psu tbh. ATX12v got me confused and I suppose its the norm now? the psu you linked was non modular, are they easier to work with? they look like a clusterfuck of wires to me loll. would 650 watt be enough if I upgrade by overclocking my i5, a SSD/hdd combo and MAYBE in the future a graphic card upgrade?

I could swap this one with my current HDD and still be in the price range. I could install windows, wow and sc2 for the time being and keep my junk away until I buy my HDD (a 2 week to a month later)

As long as you have space in the case then non modular is okay, people seem to like modular better for cleaner cable management.

Vertex 3 120gb is best bang for the buck right now, if you pick it make sure to update your firmware. If you want something else, Crucial M4 and Corsair Force GT are also good drives.

switching to the hardrive to Corsair Force Series GT CSSD-F120GBGT-BK 2.5" 120GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16820233191 and removing the seagate will bring it to 1499.26 lol which is 74 cents from my credit card limit loll.

Will I be able to boot from the solid drive only? and by firmware you meant drivers?

If I switch the power supply to your suggested non-modular one I save 10$ is it worth it?

Sure, if you can go that long without a storage drive that will work fine. Firmware for that drive can be found here. Update right after you install Windows.

If $10 is worth it to you for a modular PSU, go for it!

my current hard drive is 150gig. its only 30 gig less than what I use now, and right now I have full games on my computer in zip and all. total installed programs 86 for 54 gig. add a 4 gig for my music and I'm good to go. I will keep my laptop's excess junk (like all the nintendo/playstation console and games until I get that extra hard drive which should take at most 1 month. thanks you all for the awesome replies and feedback (mostly chaud and fuzzykins you guys rock and keep it up! :P) clearing up my credit card and should order it within 1-2 days.

My SSD was already firmware 1.3.3 (latest) which is cool and I didn't have to update!

So on to the next stuff! (windows boot in 15-20 sec including the bios prompt splash screen) so Cool!
