I love the look of updated SM, more about the Risen sounds good to me. Perhaps Varimathras has returned to take control now that his brother Balnazzar is dead (again)

Glad this is coming back, always loved SM. a mix of re-vamped (or re-use call it whatever you want) and totaly new stuff is quite nice imo, aslong as they don;t screw up like they did with Zand and force you to do the same 2 instances for max VP.

kind of pathetic if you ask me to reuse a 8 year old dungeon. I'm not exited for it at all. I like them as low lvl dungeons, but come up with something new for lvl 90 dungeons damn it. You'll gt bored of it after the first few runs, guaranteed.

MoP is looking to give us 6 new, 2 reused on launch.
Might have to deal with the fact that both Cataclysm and MoP is only "half" expansions to say. They only covered 5 levels instead of the normal 10. If we combined the whole ten levels of 81-90, there is the same amount of dungeons as launch TBC and WotLK.

How is a dungeon reused if they give it a new story and boss mechanics? The only thing reused then is the environment. mainly talking about VC and SFK here, as both ZA/ZG was both a poor remake. If they redo SM and Scholo like they did VC and SFK, then I'll be ok with it.

    Mixed thoughts.
This one I'm kinda annoyed at with the consolidating the 4 wings into 2, that is kinda skimping for the streamline and non-grindy feel they are slowly moving to than aka Vanilla where it was hardwork everywhere... But.
I like that they reuse the old content, the place is OLD and DATED, technology has moved on. If you don't see it deserves it, go to the Graveyard and look at the statue in the middle of the courtyard near the crypt... It's terrible. Now go to Brill and see Sylvanas's statue. Notice the difference? That's the advancement of the game and technology all-round. That's the painful thing about the span WoW has had.
I don't want to see it's old rustic charm to go, but something has to give ^^;. I miss the old versions where the NPC's/new lore/dungeon quests weren't there but when I level an alt, I'm pretty glad since the old way were sometimes... crazy.

I'm on the fence really, guess I will wait for my beta invite and actually PLAY the instance since despite all the QQ and love that is where it really matters.
Empathy and Sympathy are different things, one is understanding it but the other is actually knowing it.

Did they actually say they were going to have the same old bosses?

As long as blizzard never touches blackrock depths in terms of design and number of mobs I'm fine. That is the last vestige of old world. Sucks they're killing scholomance...that place is a hidden gem.

Someone is closing their eyes. Plenty of people have and still do on the forums then again you probably only lurk here due to being banned there from only complaining over and over.

I am one of the people who are all for redone old instances form the game we loved. I have enjoyed every remake, sure they get old after awhile but so do the "new" dungeons.

Same with new dungeons. You do a few times and it becomes a chore. Point is moot.
