Why do we have to be blizzard fanboys? Can't we just like the revamped content? I defend it because I'd like to see more

Why you gotta play the villain? Why can't we get along? I like my content, you don't like my content. We can agree to disagree.

Well they already cut it in half (stratholme, so maybe they will let well enough alone. I bet the reason they haven't taken an axe to BRD and LBRS is because the layout of the dungeons (wide open 3d spaces etc) simply doesn't lend itself to simple butchery of the design. Sunken temple is mostly 6-symetric vertical slices around a hexagon, but still was a fairly complex place in terms of levels, mechanics before cataclysm.

If anyone on this thread hasn't taken a long stroll into LBRS or BRD, you are missing some of the most brilliant designwork in the game - yes you can get lost easily (esp. brd) but there is detail greater than in entire zones in each of those instances. One a dwarven city now occupied by orcs and trolls, the other a dark iron dwarf city still dwarf-occupied, with new ultimate leadership...

    I have mixed feelings...
Although I LOVE the original version, I must say an update is much needed and it's nice that Blizzard love their old content and their new. Not only that but with the technology advancing, these old instances look tired and obviously old.
Saying this, I kinda don't want it's charm to be lost and with that old rustic feel it has... with heroic version, we might not be able to enter the 'low level version' (personally I've not tested whether you can), but I don't want the lore to be gone... I kinda already miss the instances since they moved NPC's/changed lore/dungeon quests and things that were never there before but alas, conforming to the LFD thingy.

I'm on the fence, guess I will wait for my beta invite and actually PLAY the instance since despite all the QQ and love that is where it really matters.
Empathy and Sympathy are different things, one is understanding it but the other is actually knowing it.

Always hated Scholo, back in the day when it was a pain in the ass 15 man dungeon, and then a pain in the ass 10 man dungeon, and then an annoyingly long 5 man dungeon. *Seriously, why did Lightforge helm have to drop off Gandling, but have like a 0.01% drop rate. WTF BLIZZ!

I agree, original deadmines was much better. *I really dislike the new deadmines.

Scholomance is fun... if you know what you're doing.

Players who came in on Wrath and later don't really know where to go or how to navigate the place. Consequently, it can be really frustrating when you can't even find the next boss. It makes sense that Blizz would want to update this.

What if this time we gonna cc alot than going all out? Even in future raid tiers gears and we still have to cc? o.0 if we all going out and easy brushing off in instance, Sorry to say this. This game already became casual long time ago.

I am not really sure what to think about the revamp. I would certainly rather they make all new dungeons instead of revamping old ones but if they can change the bosses abilities and add new mechanics that are cool and interesting then I might be OK with it. I really like Scholomance so I hope they can do a good job with it.

You know the best part is, people always talk about how it has to be made easy for the pugs. Here is a true story for all the new players. Pugs existed in Vanilla wow too and they got through 5 mans just fine.

The problem isn't with the instances or how hard or easy they are. It's with the entitled players who feel everything should be handed to them on a silver platter and for little to no effort. Everything should be a 5 min jaunt free loot and badges.

pathetic. the day Blizzard started to make the game for those players was a sad sad day for true gamers everywhere around the world.

    loving of the blizz fanboyism

"plz blizzard take my money!!!! keep recycling content!!! please take all my money!!! i love blizzard!!"

That's all I see in this thread. noones bitching about new content, they're bitching about recycled content. just because they did it before doesn't mean it wasn't bad then

"durr well yknow u dont have to play"

awesome logic. so if things aren't good in your country, "hurr well why dont u just move". haha, great. how passive aggressive can you be. Oh wait, this is the wow community.

we're paying, every month, millions upon millions of dollars for a service that we are unsatisfied with, and when you play this game for a long time and you have emotions invested in it, you feel bad that it looks like its going to shit, and you want it to be improved, not deleted.. thats the point of these discussions, not blizz fanboys with their 3rd grader logic. its okay to be critical sometimes, doesn't make u less of a fan.

Next Revamp=BRD Heroic i guess.. but perhaps that is to much work for them...

  13. #233
What's up with all the fanboy bashing? "Oh BLizz please take my money." It's only $15 a month. And before you defend your bashing of the fanboys, if you can't afford $15, that's cool, but if others can, why are you mad? $15 is not even an hour of pay for me, so it's a no brainer. I usually value entertainment at at least $10/hour. I play WoW probably at least an hour every two days. 30 days a month, divided by 2, 15. 15 times an hour, 15 hours. 15 hours times $10, $150. Oh look! $150 of entertaiment for $15. $0.50 cents a day, each month.

Stop insulting people because they want to spend THEIR hard earned cash.

i'm sure i already killed all those bosses before...they better make a reason for them coming back such them all having soulstones or somthing -.-'

I like the game i'm playing. Does that make me a blizzard fanboy, or someone who just enjoys the way he spends his spare time?

If you don't like the game you're playing, why are you still playing it?

I seriously don't understand half the discussions on this forum. They are all filled with so much negativity. I for one really enjoyed the revamped DM, where the child of the guy I killed years ago while leveling returned to take her vengeance of me. Was the instance still so interesting after I completed it 20-30 times? No.... but that holds for pretty much anything in life.

It feels like most people only know how to do one thing, and that's complaining. Man, I'm so happy i'm not living my life that way, it must be very tiresome :O

Not to necro this thread too much. But it looks like a large amount of both SM and Scholo have been redone graphically/layout wise to make them far more interesting and "new". So they got the Deadmines/SFK/ZG treatment rather than the ZA one.

Mod Edit: Removed a video that breaks the NDA, wait till Monday!

I still get misty eyed and happy when for any reason i'm levelling something at around lvl 50 and BRD starts to pop on the LFD. It is THE most awesome instance in wow. Properly thought out, full city inside an instance. Easilly as big as IF with a less open way around it (knowing exactly how to path it start to finish is still an art form).

Wonder where that footage came from, and if there's a higher quality version ;P seems cool.

I think some people need to educate themselves. Fanboys are the type that basically defend ANYTHING not just certain areas that they just happen to like or agree with. I loved the redone DM at 1st. It was epic the 1st few times there when sporting naff gear and having to watch your step.

Scholomance was epic back in Vanilla WoW so them bringing it back make sense. How have they ruined anything by giving you more options? Its not like the took the original away from anyone.

The idea i like. Weather they make it feel as cool at lvl 90 remains to be seen.

I dunno, that video I just posted makes me more eager for the new Scholo more than I ever liked the old Scholo, and I started in vanilla.
