Yes the real winning strategy is to move the ball to hit the bat, preferably using Pythagoras' theorem to calculate the co-sign of the angle of approach and if necessary angle the ball in an elliptical path in order to ensure an infinite loop.

I don't understand why Pong isn't in E-sport. You need mad APM to micro that bar to hit the ball.
