So what was supposed to only take a couple hours turned into an all-day event helping my brother install a ceiling fan in my room.

Turns out my room's electrical was done by some drunk electrician that thought it would be smart to make the white wires hot and the black wires cold... or hot on both or whatever... They had it set up such that when I turned the light off, the fan and ceiling light came on, but only on half power and my light came on at half power, but if I switched off the light at the light, the fan would turn off.

Yeah, so he said fuck it and we found a different power source to splice off of and got it working now. yay! But I gotta go to bed soon of course...

Drunk is one possibility, but many drunk people are smarter than that. Sounds like the guy didn't know what the hell he was doing.

I don't think the president is as easily swayed by lobbyists as Congressmen are. I don't really get this attitude. Obama isn't perfect, but he's no Richard Nixon, he's said he doesn't support SOPA, he will probably veto it if it gets to his desk, since that would be logical.
