I am hoping the Engineer plays similar to Team Fortress 2's engineer. They could even sell GW2 on Steam so I can get a GW2 Shotgun for TF2 and a TF2 Sentry turret for GW2!
Maybe they just need to do videos for the Engineer and Thief in Guild Wars 2 like Valve made for the classes in TF2. I linked the engie video below.
