Using /castsequence is a very poor way to do pvp as it's too linear. If you play in arenas you'll present yourself a ceiling as once you start to hit good adaptive players your castsequence will mean nothing.

PvP is about the ability to adapt to the situation, and if you treat each fight as unique you'll succeed a lot more at PvP.

Have your macros set for focus targets (focus blind, focus gouge etc). That way you can effectively fight two targets (well fight one and CC another) if you so preferred.
You can configure them in such a way you don't have to complete the full cycle.
They can be very useful if you keep it to 1 or 2 followup spells. Ill just link you this:

Look at the castsequence section. They aren't as bad as you make them out to be.

The only cast sequence I use in PvP is Inner Will/Inner Fire to save myself a keybind, while hunters use it for Aspect of the Hawk/Aspect of the Fox. To be quite honest, I don't really see a use for a rogue but if you want, go for it. It's just best not to fully rely on them but I guess if you limit it, there's no harm done.

    Just look at it.

    /castsequence [mod:alt, @focus, stance:0/2] reset=2 Shadowstep, Kick
    /castsequence [mod:alt, @focus, stance:1/3] reset=2 Shadowstep, Sap
    /castsequence [stance:1/3] reset=2 Shadowstep, Sap
    /castsequence [stance:0/2] reset=2 Shadowstep, Kick

It's not only my regular shadowstep... it can also shskick my target, my focus. It can shssap my target, my focus. All i have to do is press it twice. But i don't have to. So i can also use it as my regular shadowstep/shs focus.

It's not "mediocre" its not "okay".. i would rate this macro freaking awesome and maybe even overpowered.

    /castsequience reset=30 Kidney Shot, Redirect

Not sure if i wrote that 100% correct, but i have that for my focus target as well.
"Don't need Castsequence for PvP" it's amazing, especially the one for focus target. KS them without them ever noticing you target them, because you don't target them.
(Yes, it mathers. If a healer see's you target them as a Rogue, they'll know whats comming)
