    Thinking about upgrading PC

What would be the best bang for my buck to look at first? This computer has been pieced together over a few years so some of the items are a lot newer than others. Thanks for any help

Ram, meaning you have to get a new motherboard, at that stage you might aswell get a new CPU.

I'd suggest some nice DDR3 4-6GB of RAM in 1333hz

    i3-2100/i5 2500 CPU (Requiring a 1155 socket motherboard iirc)
    i7-6700k 4.2GHz | Gigabyte GTX 980 | 16GB Kingston HyperX | Intel 750 Series SSD 400GB | Corsair H100i | Noctua IndustialPPC
    ASUS PB298Q 4K | 2x QNIX QH2710 | CM Storm Rapid w/ Reds | Zowie AM | Schiit Stack w/ Sennheiser HD8/Antlion Modmic

That's pretty much what I was thinking. I may have to dig around newegg to see if they have any current specials.

Think the processor is good enough to use for now with an updated DDR3 motherboard? Is Intel that much better than AMD to justify the big difference in price?

Intel rapes AMD when it comes to the core ixxxx series, I highly doubt you can use the same old processor on your new mobo.
