Yeah, the quests are mostly the same boring generic MMO quests you find in other old school MMOs. A few of my class quests were pretty epic, but they were few and far between (the parts in between filled with too much travelling, killing/collecting 10 things and iffy combat).

    Definitely, the immersion and heroism.
It feels different and rarely a grind. You can also ask for more money if you want.

I do class story, flash points, space missions, crafting, heroic quests and warzones. The other quests ... you don't have to do them.

My part in this story has been decided. And I will play it well.

The quests aren't different. It's the purpose and how they come to you that makes the experience better.

Doesn't really take a genius to figure that out

    Yep, forgot that.

In essence it's a choice between 1) Quality of getting and handing in the quest with a reason in SWTOR vs 2)boring ways of getting quest but more interesting quest mechanics in WOW

WoW does have some more interesting ways of doing quests that usually involve vehicles and items, often for amusement. SWTOR is indeed just a lot of killing, whether it's to kill X mobs or to fight through X mobs to push a button. However, SWTOR's mob pulls are a lot more interesting than WoW, as you'll encounter 3-4 different combinations of weak, strong, and elite enemies where it helps to use different abilities and CC depending on the pull. In WoW, every mob pull is generally just some boar that wants to beat your face.

And it's more than even that.
It's also based on Moral views, what you believe is right.
I've really felt the choices I've made, what I've chosen to do to this person. I've even felt deep sympathy for some people many times.
THAT is a remarkable feat in my opinion.

Disliked Alderaan on my Sith Juggy. Think it was the houses thing, all the politics bored me, so much I picked the replies for quests that showed I was bored with it lol.

Yeah. The Alderaan politics was a bit annoying, and my Marauder's responses reflected that. But overall, I REALLY liked Warrior's Alderaan.

And to the person who said that if you're not an SW fan, you should probably play another game: Eff no. I'm not a Star Wars fan (beyond the original movie trilogy). I LOVE THIS GAME. It's a welcome change from the staleness of WoW. At least TOR gives me an illusion of choice instead of no choices at all. Of course, not all Class Quests are created equal, and I think that may be why a lot of people are unhappy. I'm playing with my friend (He's a Sorc, I'm a Marauder), and both of us agree that his class quest pales in comparison to mine. I feel like an Imperial version of Batman (who Took a Level in Badass and is now an unstoppable whirlwind of revenge).
You will find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view.

The way I've always seen advancement in any game with "levels" is grinding or questing...everything else is window dressing.

(From the Empire perspective at least) There seem to be alot of filler quests but on every world there seems to be at least one additional storyline from your class quest. Thankfully on my SW when my class quest was kind of blah...I got into the altenate story quest (Balmorra seems to spark my memory here...I loved the grand storyline of fighting with the seperatists).

Did I do the mom and pop "go here and do that" quests aw well...yes as I nearly always had a responce "If I have time I will" and most were in the area of either the class or alt story....and anything I can do to advance my power I will (or credits or general sense of duty ...depending on my toon)

If you're sick of WoW, you won't like SWTOR. They are essentially the same game.

Edit : Yeah I hated pretty much anything Star wars before this game. This is -not- the movie style, I enjoy it far more than I did most games lore.
    Bleh
