If I realise the point I was making was wrong I admit it and take my lumps. I do this because nobody on the internet ever admits it when they make a mistake, so I feel immensely superior to everyone. It's like a whole new level of arrogance.

I'm rarely wrong, as I usually only speak about topics that I'm extremely familiar with. If I'm talking about a topic that I'm not extremely familiar with, I usually note that in my first post on the subject. In which case, if I am wrong later in the thread, I simply say okay, cool, and refer to my previous post where I said I may be wrong.
And yes, that kind of makes me a jerk for leaving myself an out in any argument where I'm not 100% sure of myself. I'm sure it's infuriating beyond belief to argue against me.

Depends on the attitude of the person proving me wrong. If some one does it in a polite or even just casual manner then I'll admit I am wrong and apologize. If some one has a high and mighty attitude about it, I'll either get snippish or just ignore it. Though sometimes I'll feel guilty because of manner in which I said something and just not post anymore...
