Arms is apparently doing more damage right now, but I haven't seen it or looked into it myself. I still pull good DPS as Fury though.

Though I'm not 100%, I've seen things that stated Fury to pull ahead in complete end game gear, I could be wrong though.
i have been fry since bc (prot o/spec) and i love it
this is me http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/characte...zzirl/advanced
on the arms vs fury thing i really think u should play what u like - i rarely find any warr above me in the dps/damage charts but when i do its normally a gear issue ie they have better gear
class is a diff matter - mages are just so op its unreal but then some class is always o/p and u just wait ur turn
and b4 anyone flames me i havnt gone further than lfr !
the other thing that bothers me is that peeps get over focussed on recount - so many fights rely on tacs; do u always switch to the mana void? do u nuke the cobalt? do u kill the corrupted bloods or nuke like fuck? do u ALWAYS swap to the elementium bolt?
and to go completely off topic - the new lfr system rocks - i am seeing content that i would never have seen without it - its kinda sad that i never did firelands because it was too restricted to guild runs ( i work and have a family so i just cant commit the time)
so thats my 2c
fury ftw - always![]()
fight dependent
Arms pulls higher than Fury atm, simple as that. The difference is there, in full BiS gear Arms ON AVERAGE is ~1k higher than Fury. Check on WoL, beat a dummy, look at the top warriors on your server, etc., you will find that Arms is a bit higher across the board.
I made the switch over to Arms about 2 weeks ago myself, and I'm very happy with the results. Aside from simply doing more dps, the rage generation is tons smoother, the 'rotation' is less rng, and the burst AoE is amazing. The only downside to Arms imo is the lack of Death Wish... Deadly Calm is kinda pointless in PVE (especially when coupled with 2pcT13).
Edit: In all honesty though, just play what you like. They are close enough that it shouldn't matter if you aren't progression (or trying to beat a fire mage).
Fight Dependent. More fights favor Arms as long as you can keep 3 stacks of Wrecking Crew up.
4-piece T13 practically gives arms 100% uptime on Colossus Smash.
I don't see Fury pulling ahead by any practical means (aka 2xGurths + Bone Fetish and lucky procs)
Arms also has better consistent DPS because it's not hindered by cooldowns (and nerfs) or rage starvation. If if I could keep enrage up 100% of the time so Fury mastery was actually worth anything it would be a different story.
There are no bathrooms, only Zuul.
Arms with close to full T13 normal BIS gear. I've no heroic gear (no good drops) yet. It's not even just fight dependent. Even on on non AOE fights, Arms pulls ahead. Much more AOE fights.
The only fight that Fury has an advantage is for HC Spine because of the burst required. That fight alone is special is so many ways that weird specs, class comps, etc are brought in. On 99% of all the usual fights, Arms is the answer and I'm betting it'll be ahead even in HC gear for the rest of T13 unless a nerf/buff bat comes along.
I believe that right now Arms is more relevant, especially due to it's high AoE DPS for fights like Madness of Deathwing. However I do believe that if you find Fury alot more fun it doesn't really matter if you're not going for World top rankings.
Like dragons they fly, glory upon wings. Like dragons they savage, fearsome pretty things.

Only like a million posts about this, just saying
Why no love for SMF? Using agi weapons is the thing.
Cairne wanted to thank him again, to offer encouragement, praise for a task so successfully completed. For being able to bear such burdens. But Saurfang was an orc, not a blood elf, and lavish compliments and effusion would not be welcomed or wanted.
Everyone is bad except me and potato, inb4 infraction cause nothing contributed to this post. That is all. Thank you
Must feel bad seeing that I'm top ranks on all 25 HC fights we've cleared so far, which means I'm most likely in inferior gear when comparing to the top 50 ranks. SMF is surely competitive with TG, even when they have dual gurthalaks.
Reasons are the changes in 4.3:
2 set bonus favors SMF more than TG (heroic strike benefits from SMF's flat damage bonus)
Deep wounds nerf hits TG harder than SMF
Extra AP from blessing of might favors SMF (as more % of damage is based directly on AP)
Tbh the ONLY reason TG warriors (for now) beat me on certain fights is quite clearly since the Gurthalak weapon's proc is ridiculous and/or they simply have access to better gear.

I'm an anomaly simply because I'm the only dedicated (may I say skilled?) warrior that actually does the effort into trying SMF every single patch before claiming TG is superior. There simply aren't any top warriors that have even tried SMF if you check logs.
The entire hype around gurthalak has just been too big.
