Why are people listling prot warriors?
It's like the worst tank class in t13 on many heroic encounters (and also madness normal where he can be one-shot on 3rd platform with shield-wall if he doesn't have 2 stamina trinkets). Currently best tanks are DK > Feral=ProtPallie (depending on whether you have a disc/holy healer or not. If you have one, druid is better, if you don't - prot pal is better)

Tanks: DK main tank and warrior to jump on the 2 tanks fights (Arms warriors are OP as fuck and the fights which require a second tank are generally easy from a tank PoV so it doesn't matter that warriors are shit)

Healers: Disc Priest, Rdruid (balance OS on 2 healer fights), Hpala

    DPS:
    Warlock
    Warrior (the off tank)
    Elemental shaman
    Shadow Priest
    Arcane mage
    Fire Mage

    Best raid comp EU.

Except it will take ages to gear them all up and 10mans are still finishing their 3rd legendary by now

Lots of free shards from useless loot though, woohoo!

Sadly I agree with this and I am a Prot Warr

    Tanks: DK, Druid
Heals: Pally, Shaman, Priest (for teh absorbs)
DPS: Rogue, Frost DK, Mage, Spriest, Hunter or Lock

Yeah agreed, this is hardly a perfect setup and you haven't even included speccs, so we don't know what buffs/raid cooldowns you'll have. Not to mention that very few fights use 2 tanks and 3 healers, which you haven't said who speccs what when they're not needed to Heal/Tank.

Also, you can't really say a 'perfect setup' because different fights prefer different classes.

    Perfect setup?
There isn't such a thing, especialy for 10s!

Extensive need of class stacking makes it imposible to define a perfect setup even for 25s.

    We are using:

    DK/Bear Tanks

    Hpally,D/H Priest, Resto Sham

    Frost DK, Arms war
    Fire Mage, MM Hunter

10th was a Boomkin, but he's stepping away from raiding right now and is only onboard until we pick up a Lock or Rogue to replace him with. Probably a Lock.

So many clueless people who have no idea about 10mans and suggest 2-healer setups or setups with more than 3 cloth users.

    It's not your 'gear-them-all-up-and-no-disenchanters-required-in-the-raid' 25-man, guys.

Not even talking about having more than 4 of the same token group.

The perfect 10 man set up has more than 10 people. Our setup is not perfect, but it's pretty close to being so.

    Blood DK
    Feral Tank
    Prot Warrior

    Resto Druid
    Resto Shammy
    Holy Pally

    Boomkin
    Spriest
    Fire mage
    Hunter
    Combat Rogue
    Arms Warrior
    Retribution paladin.

I don't think this thread is about loot distribution.

2 healer strategy works excellent for whole normal 10 man DS.

And if you value progress you will always go with the setup which favors you not the one where you will have all classes for all loot.

If you are lucky to have 1 of each class and that is working smooth then blizzard has achived something really good. Actually feeling happy for those type of raids. Make use of each class is what wow is a bit about.

This thread is about the perfect 10-man raid setup. The quality of raid setup is composed of three things:

    1. Ability to distribute loot evenly without having to disenchant things every now and then
    2. Ability to have good HPS, DPS and enough survival cooldowns
    3. Ability to have most of the buffs covered

People who care about normals won't care about their setup. It's like coming to a thread named 'Fire or Arcane?' and telling 'LOL PLAY WHAT YOU LIKE IT'S JUST A GAME xDDD'.

Wonder how you leave out the best healer this patch has brought us. Holy paladins would be stronger really.

The ideal healer setup is Holy Paladin, Resto Druid, and Disc/Holy Dual Specced Priest. That gives you 4 out of the 5 healing specs in the game in a 10m group. Plus the synergy of a Druid and Disc Priest healing the raid is awesome.
