    Question about working out

Hi guys, one of my resolutions for this year was to get in shape, i am not fat or really skinny, just the average Joe but i would like to look a bit better and feel healthier.

So, i started watching some videos about people's body transformation, read some articles, small books etc. I want to do it right but i have this question:

When i look for the two photos, ( they are just random ones to give you an example ), i see a difference in the abdominal area, the first guy really has that " chocolate bar" shape, the other guy doesn't.

    My question is:

Is that because he did something wrong on the exercises and "shaped" bad his body, it is just less worked out or it is just normal and it varies from man to man how they muscles shape with the work out?

Hope someone around here can help. Thank you!

Picture 1 has very low body fat and picture 2 has a bit higher body fat. They are just in different phases of training. Everyone has stomach muscles but it doesn't matter how big they are if there is fat in the way. They won't show. http://www.reddit.com/r/Fitness/ is a good community if you are serious about getting in shape and need motivation and advice. http://www.reddit.com/r/loseit/ is similar if you're fat.

Exercises can help, but a LOT of ab appearance is genetic. You can't do too much about the shape itself.

Edit: And yes, less body fat on #1. Quite a bit less in the grand scheme of things.

Yup, all those sugars will most definitely help you get lean and a fat percentage of 7~8 that is needed for picture 1

Want to look the part? Then work and eat right.
Get some information about the right nutrition and have your physical trainer make you a tailor-made schedule for your exercises in the gym.

It's not just a matter of "eat fruit" or "just pull a lot of weight"

Different people have different bodies. The first guy looks like he has the skinny/tall body-type while the second one is more of the bulk type. It has nothing to do with their excersise, their muscles just look that way.
