It locks you to Dark or Dark V? I know damn well it doesn't do it to Dark V since I drop into Dark IV constantly when doing Diplomacy missions.

Dark V. Since I've got mine (The lightside one, Aero I think it's called), I've probably gained over four thousand darkside points and haven't dropped below 10k light. Everyone I know who has it, the dark or light, hasn't lost their T5 alignment despite doing a ton of stuff of the other alignment. Diplomacy might still change it, but "gains" from convos/flashpoints/etc sure don't.

The only gear requirements I have dealt with are lower-end level 50 relics requiring dark/light V. I have a feeling that relic drops from Operations and Flashpoints do not have such requirements.
