Question for posting "pretty" links?

I've spent the last hour trying to find out how to do this, and I know it's possible because it's used constantly.
How can I post a link, but give it a name so the URL isn't displayed?

For example, as you see commonly in signatures: "my main". And clicking that would get you to the armory of the character.

Any help here? I'm fairly certain its a simple tool I haven't been able to find.

Just take out the asterisk and you're golden.

Example: This is my user profile.

Just remove the spaces.

As others have said: [url=LINK HERE]TEXT HERE[/url]

([noparse][/noparse] around codes makes it so you don't need to add spaces or symbols.)

Specifically,

[url=http://blahblah]My Main[/url]

or

[url=http://blahblabh][img]http://blahblah.blah[/img][/url]

if you want a linked image.

Also, to those of you listing things by using spaces and asterisks, [noparse][/noparse] works wonders -- stick it around a piece of bbcode and it prevents parsing.

So [noparse][url=blahblah]My main[/url][/noparse] -> [url=blahblah]My main[/url] , with no extra spaces.

Keep in mind, you can just highlight the text you want to link, and press the above link button, and just give it the address that way.
