Mojang using racial slurs in minecraft?

So in the new 12w04a version of Minecraft there is something that bothered me a bit.

If you set the language of the game to Afrikaans (ZA) and then take a look at the Single Player button it wont say Single Player this is what it will say.

The newest version of Minecraft greets players with the sentence "You are a NIGGER," if they switch their language settings to Afrikaans, the language spoken in South Africa and Namibia.

It appears to have been the doing of an unruly Minecraft user who was among many people who worked on language translations of the popular game. Minecraft's developers at Mojang have apologized and pinned this on the player-translator. The screenshot above is from Kotaku's Mike Fahey's version of the game.

The largely text-free Minecraft is playable in a multitude of languages (56 by our count if you include Pirate and Canadian English), and relies at least in part on user-submitted translations of the menus and other text.

Someone is desperate to get banned and trying way to hard to troll. - I was skeptical because this isn't an official build, but a test build.

EDIT: 1.1 is the only official release atm. 1.2 is in testing, and anyone could've altered the data to make it do that.

It's not the newest update, it's clearly someone's alteration of the 1.2 testing.

NO this isn't real at all. I just tried in every language. (I'v payed for minecraft so I'm using the retail version)

Then they would have had to replace the Mojang version on http://assets.minecraft.net/12w04a/minecraft.jar which i just don't see happening tbh.

Afrikaans is a language spoken in Africa as far as i could see, though i don't really find it offensive it's odd for them to release it with that language :P

Not really. South African people speak Afrikaans. I had a teacher from there. It's a pretty developed country

Doesn't matter who's offended. This is a test build linked to the offical minecraft database. This means someone tampered with it, either before its release, or during it.

Someone with commit access to the game obviously either got hacked or is disgruntled is my guess.

Or a very very poor joke.
