It's been that way for a while now Rix, you haven't played as long as some of us so you might not have witnessed it yet, but it is a rule that someone should edit in to avoid further confusion :P

you can't go having rule circumventing ideas like this, especially if not everyone is aware of them >.<
and i'm fairly sure in the last few days we've had mini trainwrecks by mods subtracting wrong numbers (though sometimes that's because they subtract 5 :P )

there was a post recently where I was ninjaed and didn't edit and Arlee has subtracted 3 b/c she thought I was going to edit to 12 yet ,iirc, no one ever brought up anything about that :P
