I would think that too, but I think I remember him mentioning something about his liver some time back. That said, my mind has a lot of stuff crammed in it, and whilst my memory is relatively spectacular, it does have lapses every now and again. *cough*

Yes, a liver transplant.
$500,000 is the estimated cost for the first year (procurement, hospital fees, doctor fees, medications, and the month long rehab I'll have to go through).
Heart transplant is about $50,000 more.
My insurance will cover some of this. Not exactly sure how much as, well, I'm still going to be broke for a long time and I need the surgery no matter what, so I've never cared to look too much into it.
I'm honestly not worried about the money I'll owe. Right now I'm saving up the money I need upfront to be able to have the surgery at all (They require you to have around $8,000 up front to show you can afford the medications for the first several months. Part of that money is also to pay for a hotel/motel room in the city the hospital is in for over a month as I have to live there during that time. They don't do transplants in the state I live in.)
