It actually makes my blood boil that some people have this opinion. I just really, really don't see the appeal of the recent COD games. How can they not see they are just being completely and utterly milked for cash? Like COD:MW1 made leaps and bounds in the FPS Genre, it had an appealing, fun and interesting story and the game mechanics were TIGHT and just utterly perfected for it's time... But every COD game after it they've not tried to do anything new, and only made the mechanics and story far, far worse.

But alas, that is the thing about opinions I guess, everyone is different >.< It still makes me angry though >.>

Also if ME4 tries to go more FPS focused, then I'll go from a; "Maybe I'll buy if the Story looks really good" .. To; "Fuck that shit". The best aspects in Mass Effect (And this is what fucked 3 up) has always been the; Story, Characters and Setting. The only 'Real' FPS game to have an interesting story was COD:MW1 and it hasn't ever been replicated since. Mass Effect is an RPG/Space Opera first, FPS/Cover-Based Shooter second. To swap those two around would just destroy the Series completely, even after its decline in awesomeness because of ME3.

Are we ignoring all of the chest high cover in the ME series now?

You are going to find that, pretty much with any EA or Activision franchise, the playerbase has been trained to Day One purchase the games - regardless of their quality. They will then proceed to play the hell out of them while complaining about the homogenization of the industry.

Agreed. The beauty of the Mass Effect trilogy is not the combat, its the story telling.

Woot? I love the combat in ME series. (Personally, I think what ME 3 did is a great smooth point between waiting for the red bar to be filled and begging for the medkit gods to grant you a favor.)

    Gunplay? GOOOD!
    Cover system? Good.
    Powers? GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDDD!
"So, he sent a succubus to seduce you, and lure you down to his side. And yet, first thing you do is to check her ass? Ah, kid, you've got much to learn.."

I actually bribed a CoD person to play the first 2 properly.
Then received a message saying he wasn't playing it anymore because the ending to 3 was stupid .

Not that bad, just used at least one Medical Exoskeleton thing in each armour later on

Its like having to bribe someone to listen to an album of Elvis Presly.

To declare that a personal, inner experience gives certainty about the workings of the universe is to assign far too much value to one’s subjective sense of conviction.
    I’m not that arrogant.

The brain, marvelous instrument though it is, isn’t infallible. It can misfire, seize or hallucinate, and it can do so in a way that’s utterly indistinguishable from reality to the person experiencing it.
