AFAIK you have to do the final mission again for your new weapons and DLC stuff to count in the NG+. At least I read upon importing that only the save that is created upon completion of the last mission counts and nothing after that.
I could be wrong tho´
BTW: I made a grave mistake yesterdayI usually only go to BSN to check the twitter-thread for BW updates or news but yesterday I was stupid enough to go to the Story-board there. WTF !! Those dudes there should really wake up and stop dreaming of a wonderland DLC.
Most guys on there currently "demand" a DLC that´s about a living Shepard in the post-destroy ending. Basically they want a mission where you have to search and rescue Shepard from the citadel. I can only face-palm at that wishes
They could also pull that off in a simple cutscene but a DLC about that?? Which enemies would we fight once everything is over? No Reapers left in destruction and Cerberus is without head and thus no thread. A mission without enemies? Super cool -.-
Those guys should really get a life and stop rage at BW because they still hate the endings !! I mean the original endings were crap but those added with the EC were actually very neat, at least I got over that long ago. How can you still create theories like the indoctrination theory ?? Those dudes are definitely strange.
Couldn't care less about the story atm, 3 overall was meh.
Sure it had some emotional moments, but trying to replay it is torture.
Just waiting to see if they butcher DA3 even more than 2 atm, not even interested in "ME4"
Seriously? ME3 wasn't that bad to be honest. I really don´t understand why guys hate it and think it was "meh".
I played games that were badder by a very big margin. I already have 20 saves so I enjoy it.
What is "meh" about it?? Yeah the ending isn´t that cool but the EC cleared most things up.
BTW: You don´t even know what ME4 will be about and are already not interested? It is not even in development yet.
I loved ME3's story just as much as the first two, it was just the endings that made me go meh. I'm looking forward to ME4 just as much as I was the first three ME games, and DA3 just as much as DAO and DA2 (even though DA2 ended up kinda disappointing me, I was still very excited about it and it didn't kill my love of the DA franchise).
As far as the DLC goes... I would love a "Shepard Lives" DLC but I don't expect it to happen simply because there's really no way that I can think of to actually make it work as a major DLC without feeling like it's grasping at straws. That and part of me prefers the ambiguous "breath" scene as that leaves it up to the player as to whether it was a final dying breath or it was Shepard coming to, surviving to be rescued. And I suppose it also helps those who still buy into the indoctrination theory (which I do not, and never did).
They could clear that "breath" scene with a simple cutscene but making a DLC about it would be stupid. ME DLC has always been about extra missions that you can do during the campaign and so I would be surprised if this "final" DLC is gonna alter the endings because this adds no missions or things to the game.
It´s definitely gonna be a mission like Leviathan was and nothing ending related. i don´t even know why people are grasping at straws and still think that BW would change the endings after 1 year !! Why should they?? The EC wasn't that bad after all.
I haven't gone to BSN in a long time. A lot of the threads creep me out. That is without me even looking at the fan fic.
ME3 was a great game. I found every game great. Hell, during a recent play through of ME1. I found something I hadn't seen before, which was nice. Same thing happens when I play through the game in ME2.
If the final DLC were to be something truly amazing. I wish they would of stuck to their Choice and Consequences motto from the first two games. The ending has never really bothered me, two out of three endings left me with a sense of knowing what happened. Control let me know that I was the overlord of the galaxy, keeping everyone in check. Synthesis, I had brought peace to the conflict that was what the Reapers were trying to stop (order to chaos through understanding). But Destroy was always my favourite, it left the possibility of Shepard being alive along with bringing down the machines responsible for so many deaths. No matter which ending you picked of the three, you did what you came to do. Stop the cycle, once you learned of the cycles. It became more of a stop the cycle game than destroy the Reapers.
Keep in mind. I've only played KotOR and ME series. I haven't touched any of their other works.
With all that being said. I imagined the Salarians or Alliance had a plan in place that had them using FTL drives to move large amount of colonists to a new homeworld. In what was considered an unexplored system. This is interesting because both species knew about them being able to track which Mass Relays had been activated. So if they travelled without the use of Mass Relays. There is no way for them to be tracked.

I played 1 to explore space and find/talk to everything, 2 cut down on that alot but there were at least still a few side missions and depending on what order you recruited guys/what loyalty missions you did it would be very different.
In 3 you go to a mission, blast everything in sight in 5min, then go back and drop off a couple of scanned items in the citadel.
If you like corridor action sequences while you fire giant lasers at robots and explosions sure.
Still didn't get to see any war assets, still linear (in both level design and mission sequence), still far far fewer conversations and locations.
Maybe rather than seeing how many homosexual relationships they can cram into the next game, they could expand the universe a bit...
hmmm so aparantly the biotic shield of my asari justicar (biotic) can stop the banshes biotics... when did that hapen?
someone else might have gotten it wrong.
I think the Breath Scene is the same thing as Alfred seeing Bruce at the end of The Dark Knight Rises or the spinning top at the end of Inception: It's meant to leave you wondering. I highly doubt BW will change that.

Yeah and the people on BSN should finally wake up and realize that they will never ever change the endings for that game![]()
How can peeps be so disillusioned? The EC was not planned but they released it once they read the tons of bad reviews and responses about the original ending but most guys like the EC so why would they need to please a bunch of "I want Shepard to live !!!!!" dudes?
The breath scene was cool because as you said it leaves you wondering what happened to Shepard and if he truly survived and that is a great mystery that they hopefully wont change. We should be able to head-cannon on our own what happened to Shepard in destroy ending and this is what I do.
Changing the endings again would destroy my head-cannon completely.

Some people should get real to be honest ... LOL
Mass Effect 3 should have ended like Return of the King.

The ending to Lord of the Rings: Return of the King was everything Mass Effect 3's ending should have had. It was a straightforward end after a long journey, providing immense satisfaction. Can you imagine if Frodo got to Mount Doom and Sauron told him that he could control the Ring or merge Evil with the other races?
So, what I mean by this is that there would still be multiple endings, but they wouldn't be lore-breaking or unimaginable.
And finally, we had a long epilogue to provide closure to many characters that we had seen throughout the book/movies.
THIS is what Mass Effect 3 should have had in it's ending. Not an artistic ending with multiple colors (although I respect their choice and artistic vision), but it's not what was best for the series.
Anyway, those were my thoughts that I wanted to share for a while with the community. Discuss, share and remember Mass Effect.

So Mass Effect 3 should have had a 3 hour ending where we watch Shepard go home, settle in, realize he's no longer fit for the galaxy and take the Normandy (and Anderson) to the Grey Havens to relax in eternity?

Bought the game, played almost all night. Forgot already how much fun the multiplayer isThough sometimes it gets stuck on "Searching games....", searching endlessly for them. But that is fixed by returning to main menu, and going for multiplayer again.
I remember in the demo version in 2012 you were able to get guns from winning matches. I think... I see this has been removed, and the only way to get them is via store?
BasicallyYou know Shepard uses the crucible and Joker rescues him once everything falls apart (like the eagles rescued frodo). They then fly away and the 3 hour cinematic begins.
Shepard marries his LI with everyone of his friends around (incl. Anderson and Hackett) and is crowned the new king/queen of the Humans. His other friends are shown in their home like the hobbits were. Finally the cinematic ends with Hackett and Anderson traveling with Shepard to the Grey Havens where they have an eternal life.
Basically and ending where everything is rainbow style and everyone is dancing and laughing and stuff.

That´s actually one of the better responses on BSN and I think it fits pretty well
"If the breath scene is Shepard's last breath, good for you.
If the breath scene is Shepard alive amongst the rubble on the Citadel, good for you.
If the breath scene is Shepard waking up in London having fought off Reaper Indoctrination, good for you.
If the breath scene is Shepard waking up in London having survived re-entry after the Citadel exploded, good for you.
The ending is whatever you make of it."

I don´t quite get why I should further promote my MP classes if I already have 10k MS ratingI promoted every class 4 times each and apart from this achievement you get for 60 promotions what purpose do you see in promoting?
The only purpose I see is clearing up perks but you can also do that with that respec thing you get.
