Previously that has been held by MG: Snake Eater... Which makes for a very tough competition. However with this DLC arriving and reminding me exactly why i love the whole mass effect universe... The old champ bows his head in submission and leaves the throne.

The music, the dialogue, the universe... All together... It just grips me so.

A true ending to the game that deserved nothing less. Rest now, sweet prince. You shall not ever be forgotten.

I wonder what ME4 will be about, but i sure hope EA doesnt fuck it up and just revive everyone/reboot series/etc
Eh reboots can be good if done well. I really liked DmC: Devil May Cry, for instance.

Looking at the Citadel DLC I am glad I did not buy it. It's...WAY too cheesy, Like...over the top cheese. I...don't think would have been happy with spending 15 bucks on cheese. However it is still a nice sentiment for Bioware to push out a final goodbye.

Though personally? I was/am and still will be a firm believer in the Indoctrination Theory...Which is why I am sad the Citadel DLC was not ending related.

But man...the cheese. Watching playthroughs of this was hard...I had close my eyes at times and just go "UGHHHHHHHHH"

Quick question about Origin friends list for someone who never really used the functionality: I added a couple of you as friends a few days ago and sometimes there is a blue blue symbol next to your names that looks kind of like a stylized bust. Does anyone know what that is? And if that is an invitation to join a game (as I just realized might be the case), apologies in advance for not responding to it so far.

Veti-Gel (also sometimes called Medi-Gel) is a synthetic form of the extracellular matrix, or ECM, the substance that forms a kind of scaffolding in the body that holds cells together and also triggers the clotting process if there is an injury.
    Alright, that's awesome.

So now we've got the higgs field validated (real life Mass Effect) and Medi-gel . . . so who here thinks Curiosity will find Prothean ruins on Mars?

If Prothean ruins are found, I call dibs on Sentinel.

    And Blood Dragon Armor.

Yeah, and Revenant. Gotta have my Revenant.

Edit: Come to think of it, if there really is a ruin of some sort on Mars, I think Bioware would be in deep trouble.

If something isn't allowed then by definition it is illegal to do that something. If you are breaking a rule you are doing something illegal.

Fuck, you really forgot what this argument is all about, right?
Now tell me can Joker smuggle a combat knife or gauntlet blades, by showing it to the security and claiming it's a medical device required for dealing with his syndrome? Smuggler my ass.
He could lie about the object in order to get it past security, just like he did with EDI. If security believes the lie, like they did with EDI/Joker, then he will have successfully smuggled that object. If they don't believe the lie then of course he would fail and face possible crimes. The argument is about being able to successfully smuggle a weapon through security when that weapon is a low-tech melee weapon. Why can a person only lie about the purpose of a Mech? Why can't they say they are going to the Verran Rib contest on one of the wards and say that the knife is one of their cooking implements? Or why can't they hide the knife inside another object?

If it can be done with one object, EDI, it can be done with another object, a knife. The point is that anything and everything can potentially be smuggled past security in the Mass Effect Universe. A melee weapon is no different then anything else and plenty of things have been shown through the game to be smuggled past C-Sec let alone other places that don't have such tight or crack security.

Not all thing created with technology are high tech. Do you even read? Low tech items are created with technology - crazy, right?
If it takes HIGH TECH - as in CUTTING EDGE technology - to created the item - that item is HIGH tech.
So how do you know that a monomolecular blade, or any other melee weapon requires cutting edge technology? Also you did say all items created with technology are high tech:

You reduced High Tech MM sword to metal object and compared it to a simple combat knife which is a lot closer to metal object, though isn't either. An iron rod is a
    metal object.
A sword made of metal with a one molecule thick edge and a combat knife made of metal are not metal objects? A knife and an iron rod are both metal, one is just forged into a different shape and function.

    2. You invented a lot of reasons for why they don't have omni-tools. I on the other hand didn't invent anything at all, 'cept the assumption that they won't do an ME1-3 era comics.
Everything you said to support your claim over mine is an invention by you. By trying to prove me wrong and your statement correct you made just as many assumptions. The problem is you haven't backed any of your assumptions up with facts from the Mass Effect universe. You just create random arguments or insult me.

Can't create weapons because they are in space? Its called a space station. Omni-tools might be confiscated and melee weapons not because objects can be hidden and smuggled through security. They could be to poor to have an omni-tool or they could have a broken one. It could have already been lost in a previous fight leading up to that scene. You dismiss everything that isn't your opinion.

Ah so you are equating a melee attack to melee weapon? You should definitely write a book on Logic. It will be a bestseller.
A melee attack would by definition have to use a melee weapon, otherwise it wouldn't be a melee attack. The melee attack biotics use is their first surrounded by biotic energy. A fist is a melee weapon. It is further proof that not everyone in the Mass Effect universe uses omni-tool weapons for melee combat.

It is further proof that they will use any weapon they want to. Besides try telling a krogan that his head is not a melee weapon.

I pointed out absence of omni-tools - you know, those "mobile phones" everyone has in ME1-3 era. That's indication that they are not available. I don't have proof that it's because of an era. But I'm inclined to believe so because making another comics (and a long one) in ME1-3 era would be boring.
You instead of providing your view - proceeded to discredit mine, with illogical assumptions full of ignorance.
    !
Just because you don't see an omni tool being used in one page of a comic doesn't mean they don't exist. It just means they are not using them. Just because people have omni-tools doesn't mean they have to use them. For all we know not every omni-tool is capable of combat weapons. It isn't an indication of anything.

Also it has been pointed out before that they are making a comic in the mass effect 1-3 era. That same interview as well as other press coverage of the comic announcement state that it has ties to the Citadel DLC. Which clearly indicates that it is for the mass effect 1-3 era, and you likely saw some of the characters from the comic in the DLC. Perhaps the lady is the specialist Richards the "free copy of the citadel DLC" in-game blog posts mentioned?

While the recent "Homeworlds" series focused on squad members from "Mass Effect 3," many of the "Mass Effect 2" squad members got brief missions in the final game of the trilogy. Considering the ongoing nature of "Foundation," are there plans to revisit those characters and check in with what they were up to following the final mission?

"Foundation," as you might have guessed by the working title, is that it's the foundation. So we're going to go back and look at some of the -- we're not necessarily inventing new stories, we're going to go back and look at existing stories. Based off the response to the "Homeworlds" comics, people can look forward to some of their favorites showing up again, maybe even characters that haven't been touched on before.

A little off-topic here (Mass Effect 1 business):

As you may have read on a previous page, I recently purchased the Mass Effect 1, 2, and 3 bundle on Amazon for home. I do not have an internet connection there, hence my need for a single player game. I bought ME to fulfill the need for a time-killer when I'm (rarely) home.

Now, I'm having two issues. First, I cannot get ME1 to even run on my Windows 8 machine. I'm working on a fix right now.

Second (this is the big one), from what I've found out since I purchased ME, it seems I need an active internet connection to even play. What is this nonsense? Some kind of built-in anti-piracy thing?

I'm seriously disappointed and hope there is a work-around. Any help would be appreciated.

Don't need an active connection for any of them as far as I know, I know that 1 and 2 are definitely not needed, I played them offline myself when I was without a connection, number 3 says it's "connecting to servers" when it opens, but I think you can still play it offline. Never had any trouble with it myself.

Edit: Apparently something as simple as setting ME1 to run in Win XP SP3 compatibility solved it for some other people.

I'm pretty sure it's a one-time activation thing. ME2 and ME3 require an internet connection to validate DLC and online content I, but the base games can be played without.

It should be possible to take your computer to the nearest internet connection, validate, and go back home but I can't 100% confirm that.

totally farming mirror matches @ pain train map at the moment.
squad: me (adept with bonus power flare (lol OP)), Wrex with a claymore shotgun with max weapon dmg and max melee dmg mods) and James Vega with same shotgun. it's just hilarious how effective grenades and flare are in this close quarter combat. plus watching wrex charging and punching them to death is fun, too
usually when playing adept i go for the "biotic explosions all day" approach with liara + X in my squad, but with wrex&james (could also go with grunt i guess) i found the mirror matches to be much easier.

i must admit though, it's really easy and gets boring that way, even on insanity (no score modifiers enabled)

also, I came to realize just how annoying a Vanguard as an enemy can be.. now I feel pity for all the foes during my vanguard playthrough

Almost correct. I believe it will attempt to check the CD key every 10 days by connecting to the internet, so he would need to find an internet connection once every 10 days.

I think muh next ME career is gonna be a femshep romancing Garrus... I think he might be the only LI I haven't romanced on FemShep yet, not counting pseudo-LIs like Traynor. No, wait, I don't think I've romanced Liara yet either. Eh, Garrus first. lol
