Shadow or Scoundrel?

Playing on a PvP server where we are highly outnumbered so I figured stealth is a must have. Just wondering which of the two would be easier to play and is faster to level? I have been reading up on each class but still cant decide. Have around 1.2 million credits to work with as well so should I just load him up with purple gear while I level? Also will be taking biochem to help make things go faster. Also with the nerf to scoundrels is it noticeable enough to just go shadow and not look back or is it hardly anything to worry about?
