    Some more fine-tuning of 1.7 continues...

    RIFT 1.7 Hotfix #10 - 8:00am PDT 3/15/12 [NA] - 1:00am GMT 15/3/12 [EU]


    GENERAL
    * Corrected the weird FPS reduction when you had macros that used #show lines saved on a character or hotbars.
    * Instant Adventure: If you were kicked from an IA group, you will be unable to re-join that group for 15 minutes. You can use the Instant Adventure window to start your own Instant Adventure group if needed.
    * Hammerknell: Estrode: Reduced the effectiveness of a variety of Estrode's more problematic stolen-Soul abilities, making the encounter a bit better for a broader variety of Soul choices.
    * Rise of the Phoenix: Beruhast: Fixed some locations where you were able to climb on walls during this encounter.
    * Happy Pi day!


    WORLD EVENT
    * Random Artifact boxes have had their prices and prize rates adjusted to match currency gains.
    * Ultra-Thin Hides now drop slightly less.
    * Event parades are less disruptive to NPC populations now and should be more consistently active.
    * The gambling game at the Shimmersand Carnival has returned!
    * Fashion Show and Drinking Contest games in Shimmersand now contribute to the Carouse the Carnival daily quest.

    Seems there may have been a mistake. People in my guild are saying that they were able to get another dubloon from the guy in Shimmersand who sends you to kill Monte and his friends. Not sure if this is intended or not.

    Those guys at Trion are on the energy drinks, super fast to respomd to issues with the Carnival phases and faster again to fix them, here's hotfix #11

    RIFT 1.7 Hotfix #11 - 11:00am PDT 3/16/12 [NA] - 1:00am GMT 17/3/12 [EU]

    GENERAL
    * Everyone's LFG random rewards counter has been set to 9 remaining, after some had gone missing earlier this week. This is a one-time bump over the cap of 7 and future regained reward counters will cap at 7 again.
    * Veteran Reward mounts no longer have a level requirement to use.
    * PvP: Battlemaster's Source Engine and Battlemaster's Sigil now require level 50 to equip.
    * Wrath Spikes, Burning Powerstones, Ancient Burning Powerstones, Wrath Stones, Mighty Wrath Stones, Massive Weaponstones, Ancient Massive Weaponstones, Exquisite Whetstones, Ancient Exquisite Whetstones, Exquisite Oilstones, and Ancient Exquisite Oilstones now require level 50 to use.


    WORLD EVENT
    * Fixed an issue causing chat spam of auto-completed world event quests.
    * Phase changes for the Carnival event have been moved to Thursdays going forward.
    * Dantwor Honey-Tongue should now properly be giving out random versions of the Tales of the Ascended each day.
    * War Trophies will only drop from 'green' PvP targets who are above level 10.
    * Trouble On the Route: Guardian Troublemakers will no longer give experience and cannot be summoned after completing the quest objectives.
    * If you win a spin on the Wheel of Fate you should no longer lose your winnings if you wait for the Wheel to spin again.

    Hotfix #12 will be hitting the North American shards soon, although they'll also be taken down for a big hardware update for about two hours

    * Civil Unrest: Players will no longer be blocked from completing this Zone Event by a lack of Invasions. Invasions for both factions will continue to spawn even when no Holds or Banners are active for their side.
    * Stop the Master Saboteurs: Fixed an edge case where the Master Saboteur might not respawn.
    * Fixed a case of failed zone events remaining tracked on-screen until you logged out or teleported; these should now be cleared properly after failing a zone event.

    * Runes gained as rewards from notoriety with Dragonslayer Covenant, Icewatch, and Order of Mathos can now only be applied to items of level 43 or higher.
    * Quests: Supplies to the Front: These quests now consistently remove the proper number of items on turn-in.
    * Rise of the Phoenix: Beruhast: Reduced the encounter area to prevent some more tricksy flaming vortex avoidance!

    As predicted, the latest hotfix now getting patched on NA shards addresses some Phase 5 "issues"..and yes, another week of it

    RIFT 1.7 Hotfix #15 - 8:00am PDT 4/4/12 [NA] - 2:00am GMT 5/4/12 [EU]

    GENERAL

    * Ember Isle: PvP Dailies: Marakris Implements and Daggers of the Marakris: Reduced the objective count and made the drop rate 100% for these quests.
    * Ember Isle: The Ember Watch area now grants rested bonus to experience.
    * You can now successfully invite players to private chat channels.

    WORLD EVENT

    * Phase 5 of the Carnival of the Ascended has been extended to run for an additional week.
    * Players should now receive proper rewards for assisting the flag carrier and otherwise participating in the 'Skirmish' zone events during Phase 5.
    * Guardian and Defiant NPCs spawned during Skirmish zone events now drop War Trophies.
    * Decisive Action: Now has a turn-in point when the boss is active.
    * Attack the Outpost: Fixed this spawning too many hostile targets at once.

    Finally, about time they realised the target of 100k turn ins was impossible, Hotfix #16 addresses that

    Oh thank god. I wonder how much they are reduced to. 100k was too much. 20k would be more doable. Even 50k is a bit too much (faeblight guardian side has 15k after a full week.

    100k kills would have been, dare I say fun, if every possible PvP kill counted toward the goal, and not this badge drop thing in Warfronts. You don't need a PvP server to get a population behind completing an objective, and players could have had their own unofficial RvR zone, simply due to convenience and efficiency. A fight breaks out in Scarlet Gorge, guildies come to help farm some numbers, opposing faction backs up their own, and every dies constantly, helping everyone win.

    Admittedly, I'm not sure what the intentions were when the developers planned all this. Were they trying to draw attention to warfronts, or just get players fighting each other? I know even the best rigs will start crying when computing 100v100, but it would definitely be a sight to see, and the kind of action I would jump into wholeheartedly... and that's coming from someone who hasn't run a warfront once.

    hehe, u know whats sad, is im on Briarcliff a PVP Server of all things and right now we are sitting at like 6100 so far. though the server isnt a Full one, but still, its a pvp server and were that low.......

    Looks like they dropped it down to around 10k, as when I logged in we had it finished. And that's kinda bad, Syce. Especially for a pvp server. You should spread that around that the rp server already finished

    Yep. Guardian side we were at nearly 16k before the reset. Not sure what Defiant side was at.

    As per usual Trion are lightning quick to address any issues, the Earth Rifts have been 'fixed' and they've reduced the World Event total from 80 to 60

    RIFT 1.7 Hotfix #17 - 8:00am PDT 4/13/12 [NA] - 1:00am GMT 15/4/12 [EU]

    WORLD EVENT

    * Earth-based Zone Events should once again be granting the correct loot when completed.
    * Phase 6 event goal lowered to 60 due to the events being temporarily unavailable.
    * Infernal Awakening properly counts toward the Phase 6 event goal.


    GENERAL


    * Several Costume items that were previously level-less are now level 1 items and cannot have Runes applied to them.
